Potty training

Is she ready????

Dd is 2yo and 1 month.

She has started saying wee when she has a wet nappy. She will wee on the potty if someone else is going.
She managed to say wee at breakfast time today and run (with a slightly leisurely DH) to the loo and then wee on the potty.

She has managed up to 3 wees in the potty in a day, the week before last (were on hols last week so a bit different).

Should I wait till she is older? (and more verbal - although I'm pretty good at understanding her)

Or should I buy pants and embrace the chaos of potty training? I really don't want to get pull ups (other than for long car journeys).

What does the MN collective wisdom think? Confused

I would give it a go, the worst that can happen is that it doesn't work and you put her back in nappies for a bit longer Smile just over a week ago, my dd was at a similar stage and is now doing really well, so it could be worth it!

Go for it if she's decided it's time. Get her in pants!!!

Thanks! :)

Pants have been bought! I just need to get them washed and plough through the mountain of post holiday washing and then we will brave ourselves for potty training chaos.

I have a feeling the washer will be on more than usual... Confused

Day two is the worst in my experience! Come and join us on the thread in potty training, it's called something like 'is anyone starting this Saturday?' and has 90 odd posts Smile

Thanks whispers! Will check it out. :)

I should know what I'm doing as I've done it all before with ds but dd has a totally different temperament (super chilled ds vs 0-60 very fast, stubborn and determined dd) and he was 3-4 months older.

I think it'll be pants on Tuesday. Today is clearing the washing mountain from hols. Monday will be massive food shop and can't face that with pants yet! :)

Tuesday (and the rest of the week) can be super quiet and stay-at-home with only the preschool run to worry about. Confused
