Nearly 4 year old still not getting it

I have tried on and off to potty train since she was 2. We are now at the stage of - will wear pants in daytime but has never done anything on potty or toilet, ever!
Some days she just seems to hold it in till bedtime when I put her in a pull up - she then does everything in pull up.

After reading another thread I am going to try giving more to drink in the daytime, FX this will work.

Anyone going through similar?

Any advice?

Hi Cats,

I am embarrassed to say this but I have a child who has just turned 4 and still not toilet trained. Happy to wee in the loo but not to poo.

Its really worrying isn't it? And hard to not let them know.

So she wears pants in the day but doesn't wee? How much to drink does she have a day? Will she sit on the loo/ potty? Has she said why she won't wee on the loo/potty? Is she scared?

Guessing you have done reward charts?

I spoke to my HV this week who has sent me leaflets got when toilet training isn't going well. Next step is the Dr.

Hi pancake (OP under a name change) Wink

Some days she wets pants, other days she holds it in. I am trying to give her more drink to make her go.
The HV is meant to be contacting me this week. - waiting to hear.

I think it may be a fear thing as she just won't do it on potty or toilet. why she is scared though I don't know! Confused

I never tell her off for toilet accidents.

Am trying stickers for when she sits.

My son is scared of the loo. Will wee in it but not poo.

Cannot think why and he cannot get into words exactly what scares him.
