Ds decided to ditch night nappies about 3 weeks after mastering daytime potty. He was fine as long as he had nothing on his bottom half at all, but pjs led to wet bed.

6 months later he sometimes wears pjs without pants. If they get worn more than once a week I'll push for pants as long as he can manage them when almost asleep.

I have three boys.
My just turned 3yo wears pj's, no pants. The older two (6 and 8) wear boxers only because they get hot in bed. Smile

DS1 just wears pants - no PJs on a normal night. Occasionally he might put some PJ trousers on if it is cold. Sometimes with pants and sometimes without.

My DS goes to bed with both on but you can be sure within 10 mins of getting into bed he strips off totally. He is 5 and mostly you can follow the trail of PJ top, socks, PJ trousers and pants on the way to his room.

DS (3) used to wear pants under PJs when he was first potty trained, but now prefers bare bottom under PJs.
