Potty training

3 days of going cold turkey, want to quit

My daughter is 3.6 and has been potty trained for wees for more than a year. But she always refused to poo in the potty. For a long time I've been fine with this, letting her dictate the pace but have basically got fed up with it as I don't think she'll ever switch on her own accord. Eg peer pressure has had no affect, poo in poo land, princess Polly etc. so, I told here that when the current lack of nappies finished we wouldn't be getting any more. She was by interested and even excited and giggly about this prospect knowing that cox buttons and fairy knickers were coming closer. But here we are, 3 days in, and we've had a hellish day when a poo is so knocking on the door we've had maybe 50 false alarms, one of which actually led to a poo. Celebrated that but it was pretty small and there's a lot more backed up. She's now fallen asleep even though she gave up her nap months ago and has been begging for a nappy. Could do this another day except tomorrow we are going to MIL and a long carjourney too. What do I do?

By the way one of the reasons I'm so fed up with nappies is because DS1 is here so I just thought 'enough!'.

Could you just stick with it and if she poos her pants, so be it? Might be the only way. Sorry to sound harsh but you sound like you've had enough and it would be a shame to go back now. Good luck!
