Dd is 2.4 and seemed quite interested in going on the potty so we decided to give it a go.
We've been trying for about 3 weeks and its been... difficult. I have no idea whether it is normal or not and this is just part of the process.

She would be completely dry I think if I put her on the potty when ever I thought she needed to go, but she insists she doesn't and I feel its kind of beside the point to not listen to her. But if I listen to her then she doesn't tell me and then has 5 or 6 accidents a day and its exhausting. We've had a couple of days with only 1 or 2 accidents but these are mostly when I tell her she has to have a try.

I think she gets what she's meant to be doing, as she often says "yes I'll tell you if I need a pee mummy". But she doesn't. And also is often very difficult to persuade to try.

I just don't know what to do, I'm aware she's still very young to be training, and I'm worried that by feeling frustrated by it I'll put pressure on her and upset her. I don't want her to feel she's done something wrong by going back into nappies, but also, is this just part of the process? Perhaps this is entirely normal, no one ever said it was going to be quick and painless :o
How long does it tend to take and what can we expect? Do we keep going? Or leave it for a few weeks and try again after xmas?

Any help at all very gratefully received!
