Hi - would appreciate any thoughts re how to progress. DD2 totally disinterested in sitting on potty (particularly since she realised I would quite like her to!). DD1 was not particularly early - prob about 2.7 but was more malleable and willing to try it (even if nothing happened). I took the view that I would wait til DD2 seemed ready, but she starts preschool in Jan (aged 2.9) and they are not keen on nappies, so I am getting a little concerned

Her older sister tries to encourage her - does demos etc :-), tried stickers, books about it, pants with pictures on front etc, but she doesnt want to know. She talks about having done pee and poos but generally after event and doesnt seem bothered. She went through a phase a few months of taking wet nappies off and demanding dry ones and we thought that a good sign, but that seems to have passed.

I work 3 days a week so going cold turkey is difficult.

What would you do?
thanks

Take a week (3 days) off work, thats what I did and leave her running about with no pants on for the whole week. They quickly get the idea when it is running down their legs. Take potty everywhere you go, even to the kitchen.
Make a huge deal when she eventually sits on it and let her carry it to the loo and flush it away.
Good luck
