Ds1 is 28months old.
I don't think I've actively made an effort to potty train him as he has slight speech delay and thought it would be easier just to leave the whole potty training thing until he could actually ask to go.
However, since his 2nd birthday, whenever we are home, I take his nappy off in the morning and leave him nappy free. He knows where the potty is and in 4 months have had 2 wee's and one poo on the floor and that was right at the beginning. He now does all his wes's and poo's on the potty at home.
When we're out and about and for nursery, I put a nappy on him as he still won't/can't ask/tell us when he needs to go.
I bought him some pants and instead o leaving him nappy free at home was trying of get him used of wearing pants. But in his mind, this means he can wee and poo in his pants because he hasn't got a bare bum.
What do I need to do here?
Shall I just continue to leave him completely bare bummed at home so he continues using the potty and let the rest follow in it's own time (when his speech improves) or should I be persevering with the pants and just accept that it might take a while for him to get used of it?
