ok so DD 2.10 has been out of nappys for 4 weeks and hardly any accidents and not 1 for 2 weeks. shes never pooed herself until yesterday and today she did the same, i know she needs 1, normally she tells me but i had to ask her yest and today. shes also had 3 wee accidents too- im very confused as she was doing so well

Any ideas why this is happening?

nothing major has happened that i could think maybe the reason

DS did this. Don't panic. Give her time and if need be go back into nappies for a week or so. She will soon realise that wearing pants is much nicer. She is still young and has done so well already.

I'm having exactly the same problem but mine is continuing!

DD 2.6 did fabulously for 1st 4 weeks, literally got the hang of it within 2 hours of starting potty training and had no accidents to speak of for 3 weeks. All of a sudden started leaving it too late and then just stopped trying all together. I carried on doing all the usual stuff for 2 weeks and then couldn't cope anymore (what with xmas and everything) so on the advice of HV we went back to pull ups.

Tried again 3 days ago but back where we started again and I am losing the plot cos I know she can do it really!!

What is really irritating is she still goes to the loo for a poo (not that daft!) and can be dry at night if she chooses.........

Help anyone?????

My friend's DD did this after about four weeks of no problems at all. Friend went out and bought her some Peppa Pig pants together with her (PP being her all time hero) and then they had a chat about not wanting to make PP wet or poo on her head Grin. Dry and clean ever since and that was six months ago!

God I wish that worked for me - she has a will of iron..........tried everything!

Ah well, can't help then - whenever anyone mentions potty training I stick my fingers in my ears and go lah lah lah Blush. DS is 2.7 Blush.

I am in the same situation too - DD had been perfectly trained for months, we travelled a lot over Christmas with very long drives so put her in pull ups and told her (when she needed a wee in her nappy on motorways in awful conditions) to just go in her nappy. Frozen pipes meant no water, and it was easier to keep her in nappies over Christmas.

Now she just keeps having wee accidents, though okay for poos. She has not once asked for a wee since Christmas, and won't go when I persuade her to sit on her potty anyway.

I think she quite likes the attention of having her wet clothes changed. Again.

Sorry to hear you are suffering too Unwind......crap isn't it?!

Today has been going better for us, DS back at school so just us again during the day which helps her concentrate and listen to me rather than be led astray by him! Told her today I wasn't going to remind her as she is a big girl now but if she went to the toilet she would get a little choccie (xmas leftovers!) but if she did have wet pants she wouldn't be able to take her blankie to bed with her tonight. She LOVES blankie so that really was my last resort............

I have gently reminded her once or twice (kid of without telling her if you know what I mean) and fingers crossed we appear to be back on track. Has used the potty 3 times without any encouragement and no accidents!!

About to do the school run so no doubt it will all go downhill again though!!!

Good luck!

Have same problem with darling daughter who is 2.4. she was doing great until christmas and got mega over-whelmed with all her toys and things and completely forgot to tell me when she needed the toilet. gone back to square one but not seeming to get anywhere very fast.
I thought it would pick up straight away with her having done so well so far!

I have been on the verge of putting pull ups back on dd but she refused. this now being used as our latest bribe. to dd....tell mummy or daddy when u need to wee and you can keep nickers on.

today gone ok so far. 2 accidents and 5 trips to the toilet. fingers crossed for us.

We are still having accidents too MM but kind of thinking it is par for the course with a kid of this age now.........

Seems to wet herself almost immediately if I pressurise her to go to the loo (before the school run etc) so I have had to trust her when she says she doesn't need to go. So far, she is pretty much true to her word!
