I'm 8 weeks post labour and have just started taking Cerelle (AKA cheap cerezette) instantly I started bleeding and bloody sick to death of pads!!

So I'm back on the moon cup. Getting it in was fine but getting it out.... a bit traumatic!!! OUCH!!

Does it get easier??!

I went back to mooncup post birth (though not until 6 months, as BF stopped my period and no contraceptive). I found it really irritated the scar tissue in my perineum (2nd degree tear), and also that I had to go up a size.

Presumably you had a vaginal delivery - did you tear at all? if it's causing you pain I would use tampons until it doesn't.

Yes, vaginal birth with episiotomy and 5 small tears.

Perhaps ive been a bit ambitious then. I'm dreading getting it out again :(

Are you back to using it now?

Oh yes my DD is two Grin once it's in the right position I don't notice it's there, but if I don't get it quite right then the pressure on the back edge of my vaginal wall (iyswim, close to the perineum, where the stem of the mooncup gets snagged for me if it's too low) is still much more uncomfortable than before.

There's most pressure when you pop it out, and if it is very sore, as I say, just use tampons for now, and try again in a month or two.
