I've done the test and it was -ve. Phew...I think! If I'm honest, I am a bit disappointed as I would love another, but think it would be better to wait until DD is a little older. So will start actively trying from September I think. Anyway, hope that's put you out of your misery!
Busy weekend ahead so doubt I will be on much, have a good one everyone x

PMK i meant to say i got the older nuby for DS2 with because its got handles and is a little shorter so easier to lift up. Like your DS though he cant tip his head back but tends to kind of bend the nib or its squishes in without occluding. I could have been a cup tester i bought so many different cups or DS1 i think it depends on the baby what they like but luckily DS2 is like his brother. DS1 never liked the ones that have valves. In case your interested when DS1 graduated from the Tommee Tipee Nuby cup thing he went happily onto the tommee Tippee anywayup cup ((veggie sneaks off to collect her cheque from Tommee Tippee))

Have just spent an hour cleaning the conservatory. I left DD alone for no more than 2 mins while I went to answer the phone...I returned to see she had redecorated in black!!!!

Veggie I was very big though. I was a 10/12 when I met DH. I hate to think what size I was after 2 pregnancies, but I had a BMI of 31. I feel a lot better for having lost the weight. I have 0.5 stone to go, but I'm waiting until I can get back into exercise to shift that.

Very quick post here.

I fell downstairs with DS2 earlier. I managed to keep hold of him and keep him close to me so he is fine. In fact he even giggled as we fell. But I have badly sprained my ankle, dr thinks I may have torn my achillies(sp) but need to wait for the swelling to go down. Really annoyed as we are going on the diner train tomorrow night and I have some gorgeous shoes I now can't wear. Got to now try and find some flats tomorrow and we have 1 shoe shop here. But I think I saw some nice ones in the window last week.

kayz thank goodness you are both okay! I tore ligaments in my ankle when I was at Uni, the pain was awful. Save the heels for a night out when your better. You'll still have a lovely time tomorrow.

pmk Thanks for asking about my ganglion. It is making my hand ache but not as much as it did when I posted about it. I'd be scared of hitting my hand with a heavy book in case a broke a finger!

katie At least you know I suppose. September isn't long to wait though. My friend is in labour as we speak and I know that I am going to become horribly broody when I visit her LO. DH was talking names the other day so it doesn't seem like he is going to take much convincing to have another.

I do the same as you zoe with the cup. If I am having a drink DD wants what I've got.

We're off for a week tomorrow so back next Saturday. Not quite the weather for a uk holiday but never mind!

Hi Girls

Nice new thread title Veggie. I can't believe that we are at the peeing on a stick stage again already (I use the term "we" loosely as I am nowhere near that stage and I know many of us never plan to be again). Good luck to PMK and Katie for sometime soon. I miss the drama of peeing on a stick, I got quite addicted.

I did catch-up with my thread reading this morning but I just can't remember what I read. Sorry! I do remember Spot being very tired, I do hope things are improving Spot and that your DH gives you a good break over the weekend. Early mornings are a killer. DD1 rose between 4.30am and 5.45am for months and months. DD2 tends to rise between 6am and 6.30am but I find any time starting with a six or greater is much easier to deal with.

Kayz I hope your ankle is OK and you have not torn your achilles. Thank goodness DS2 is OK.

When is your interview Trace?

I survived my first week back at work, and even resisted the internet despite being in front of a computer most of each day (pats self on back). I did get a bit distracted by the cricket on the TV on Thursday but it seems almost obligatory to have the cricket on at my work so I felt justified. In truth I was not very busy, my job will only pick up after the summer break and this two week spell in the office is going to be very quiet. I did miss my girls though, I kept wondering what I was going activley choosing to sit in dull meetings instead of watching my kids grow-up.

DH and I are fighting tonight . We rarely fight. However he is being an arse. I have recently been thinking I would like to move to Dulwich (the other side of London). My best friend lives there and is having her first baby this week, three other old friends also live there and DH's best friend and his family live there too. The draw of so many old friends and a real support network is very strong for me. Plus we could afford a much bigger house there and one in a very good school catchment area. However, DH is not keen. He says he likes it where we are (he was born in this part of town) and does not like the "feel" of Dulwich (what crap, people rave about it). Basically he is refusing to even consider what I am suggesting which is pissing me off as it is me that spends must of the time at home. Its not like he has great mates near us now, his local mates are the husbands of the girls I have made friends with since having kids. Grrrr. I have booked three house viewings in Dulwich tomorrow - they are gorgeous houses but I know DH will hardly pay attention when we are there. The more he opposes this plan the more I want it...

I should not have said "much" bigger Verso. We could afford an extra bedroom and a proper garden. The two things we really want. I think it is a little cheaper than here because it is not on the Tube, we are within walking distance of four tube lines here.

It's been a constructive evening (apart from the bit where we had a power cut so I lost 3 unsaved slides ) I've been beavering away at the computer because my thoughts started coming together. Anyway P woke up at 9.45 and I asked DH to go and try to settle her sans boob. He was in the middle of a game on the laptop (sociable pair we are!) so said he'd go in a few minutes. I would have gone instead but I was in the middle of a train of thought so just carried on typing...and she fell back to sleep! Neither of us went up and she only cried for a few minutes then gave up! She's still asleep now an hour later . So I have a clever baby and an on-the-way-to-being-finished presentation!
And bags under my eyes.
And a rumbly tummy.
And a busy day tomorrow. Lucy has her first ballet exam The ballet teacher made a point of stressing the 'tidy hair' part of the instructions - Lucy always has a bit of a bird's nest going on! It's so slippy that when I tie it up it all falls down, and she has a big crown so the hair goes its own way anyway! Must try very hard to make it tidy .
Right. Me thinks a bowl of cereal then bed.

we are putting madam in her own room on sunday. sob. but hoping it may make a difference to being able to leave her for a few mins before the boob rescues her in the middle of the night. although she woke up this morning with a massive wail which sent a panic into my very soul - i had jumped up out of hte bed before i even knew what was happening. poor lamb. the boob did its magic, though, and she is asleep. i, needless to say, an hour later, am not.

Actually T might have slept longer if he'd not pooed himself silly at 5am, prob is that he takes most of his milk and solids in the second half of the day and evening, prompting the early morning poo, but I just can't seem to get him to eat earlier in the day. .

Spot we have given ds supper for the past 2 nights, not easy for you if T is only eating in the later half of the day anyway. I'm not sure if its that or just a coincidence. Needless to say we will be continuing with the supper for now.

pmk - ds thinks he is so clever with his skydiving pose! I think its soooo cute though.
