Thanks for the new thread Yorky; I hadn't even noticed it was almost run out!

Can I give you a call about the nappy thing tomorrow? DH isn't keen (and fair enough it's a lot of money to shell out) and thinks it'll be just another huge box of nappies cluttering up the house and that it'll take so long to make any money that I will get disheartened and end up with a room full of unsold nappies.

argh, late o'clock.

Thanks for the new thread Yorky

Mimi not sleeping- very unsettled with sore throat etc. GP was sure it isn't swine flu today but she's not happy chicken tonight .

Sorry to hear Mimi isn't great Pinky . It's horrible when they are ill isn't it?

I hope both you and she can get some sleep.

I tried to go to bed but as is usual, I'm falling asleep at teatime and then by bedtime have my second wind and am wide awake.

Just bookmarking the new thread - thanks Yorky

Yesterday was fantastic - DS1 loved Thomasland and went on the rollercoaster at least 5 times (we thought he might be too wussy to go on it but obviously not!)

The Hamster, otoh, was bored stiff all day as he was stuck in his pushchair for about 8 hours (apart from feeding times!)

Glad it is over - has been a very hectic few days.

Right, will catch up later

Hi all
Thanks for well wishes for Mimi. She went to sleep eventually but sounds horrid the poor thing and DD1 is now all hot and sore throat. Hey ho sounds like an ideal start to the summer hols.

Thomasland sounds cool, ceebee, if not for babies.

Tegan we are utterly skint, too. People saying to me 'why don't you get someone in to do the decorating'.. well because we can barely afford the paint!

Hoping to get ebayiing this weekend for some holiday money, but can't find the bits for the pram I want to sell- have sinking feeling they may have gone to the tip/oxfam in a bag by mistake. Would it be worth replacing the bits and then selling? I dunno.

Coolkat I would make a nuisance of yourself at the GP iff you are worried. I have no shame in this regard. But maybe run the course of ABs for a bit? Are you giving her any pain relief?

Daisy hope you got some sleep.x

Afternoon all. Packed DS1 off to school this morning, much to his annoyance. He actually said "do you want me to DIE mum?". There is one confirmed case of swine flu, lol . Expecting a letter from the school tonight though, so maybe they are going to shut early for the hols, as there are only two days to go?

I'm in denial about finances and don't even read my bank statements now!

I think bumble is commando crawling, as he seems to be getting about, but when I look at him he stops!

How is Becca today coolkat? maybe a change of AB needed?
Hope Mimi better soon too pinky
sounds like a great day ceebee what a brave boy with the rollercoaster

finances eeek!! I'm on the basic SMP now and we are managing but I have started watching very carefully what I am spending which is a good habit for me to get into I guess.

Got a wedding reception on sat night and the dress I'm wearing is quite short but looks fine with black tights. So you do think black tights are suitable for an evening reception of a wedding???

Hi to everyone

Black tights for an evening I would think yes - maybe not the thick Lycra ones IMO....

howdy ladies! Just a quickie to say I've found you, got back yesterday from france. Sorry I didn't manage to MN whilst away, but had pooter issues and could only get online a handful of times.
Hope everyone is well and that the babies are are all happy as larry. Cecily Plum totally loved la France - she dipped in the sea every single day, and ate all her meals outside in just a nappy - bliss for clearing up! BLW has been a huge success - I couldn't have been pureeing in the heat in France. She loves her food and considering she has no teeth as yet, is amazing at chomping on meat, spaghetti etc.
Back to work in 12 days time...boo. Who else has gone back to work now? Has ChocOrange gone back yet?
Re. blacktights...hmm. I personally wouldn't in July - are you brave enough to go bare?
Have missed you - hope I can catch up on everything!

Hey Welcome back MM. Bet you had a fab fab time. I bet BLWing with no clothes was great!

12 days til work eek, you will be fine, are you still stopping BF this week prior to your return? I have been struggling this past few weeks with my supply and am thinking of quiting now

Choc I am not sure on black tights in july, what about leggings or footless tights?

I have just ordered a few things from Oasis, I so should not have but thought I could send back if I needed to!

Daisy Becca is to crawling in a fashion but not the normal way!

Hi monkey welcome back
your pics are fab on fb.

Thanks for your opinions on my tights dilema! I could go with bare legs if I wore my flat sandals but def not heels. Might buy something new, the dress is the one I wore to DS christening so was just trying to get a bit more wear out of it.

I'm back to work on the 29th, how are you feeling about going back monkey? Think there's a few of us back now, and of course the lucky teachers who get the summer off

Off to browse online for something new!

Hey MM
Welcome back. I should have FB'd you the link to the thread, sorry!!

Glad you had a nice time; it must be very odd being back after all that time away. CP probably won't remember "home" and will wonder what that odd we stuff is that comes from the sky

choc, would you get away with hold ups? or if it has to be tights for the sake of modesty (impressed you would consider a short skirt!!), then what about some 7denier ones so they are very light on.

non sleeping children issues again this evening...surprise surprise DH has gone fishing again. I have just yelled at and smacked DD (she was throwing things across the room at bumble and woke him up screaming) and then called DH for a right old rant, finally telling him that if he gets another nasty mozzie bite and cellulitis again then I have no effing sympathy for him and if he isn't lathered in repellant then he deserves to be bitten again

I have had wine and am calm now. bumble is asleep at my feet on the floor.

oops, that should have said "wet stuff"

Report

lacks it could well be wee, or wet. But we've already been drenched once today!
Thanks for your welcome back messages ladies.
coolkat I was totally stressed about the whole BF thing before I went away. However, since the Plum has taken to her food so well, she is now only BF morning, night and a quickie after lunch. I reckon I could drop the middle one, so might just do that, and then I can continue to nurse her morning and evening til she's a year old.
Chocgal wow - you're back the same time as me. How are you feeling about it all? Are you putting LO in nursery?
I say get your legs out at the wedding BTW.

Lacks have wine. Curse DH. And his fishing.

monkey I feel ok about it. I just worry that people will expect the same of me(pre DS) from my 1st shift back and that scares me a little. I have spoke to my boss about it and asked her not to leave me in charge the first couple of weeks back so i can get a feel for it again as I have been off since September and lots changes in the medical world in that time. I have a feeling my concerns fell on deaf ears though
I am lucky enough that I am going back part time and my MIL will be looking after DS.
LOL about getting my legs out, I might manage it but the fake bake will be on!!!

Aww very cute image of bumble on floor
Enjoy the wine daisy and fingers crossed your DH is cellulitis free! If he gets it again, I'd say another hobby is required!!

Pick up my nappys next week and ellie has very kindly invited me around to hers to give me the low down on them!

Hi all,
Not able to keep up as much now I'm back at work, so sorry if I'm a bit awol this week. I'm really enjoying being back at work and have realised that I was ready to go back. But, I am feeling absolutely worn out. When I get home from work, I want to give P my full attention and make sure I spend quality time with him, and then by the time he's in bed I'm about ready for bed myself!!! I'm sure I'll get used to it before long, but I must admit I'm looking forward to breaking up for the summer on Friday!!

Harrogate - are we still on for next Tuesday's meet up? Where shall we meet and what time is good for everyone?

lol jaunita at you looking forward to the end of term already!!.....I'll think of you when I see the barclaycard advert

P's doppleganger was at stay and play yesterday....hmmm funny how I've never seen the two of them together

And yes for Harrogate......Valley Gardens? 11ish? or earlier? We are up from an ungodly hour so that's no problem for me.

It feels odd talking about Valley Gardens, as that's the name od the street that my Gran lived on when I was a little girl.

I have just realised, as I sit here in the near dark, that I can pretty much touch type. Thanks MN.....I think

hi all!
Am still up for meeting - whatever time suits as I don't have as far to go!
lovely to see MM glad you had a great holiday - loved your pics on fb
very impressed at working ladies!
bf-ing realised today/ dawned on me that W doesn't want boob in the day any more. was such a struggle to get here, totally unprepared for him to decide not to.only wants it when he;s settling to sleep (and throughout the night....yawn!)
crawling W is making like a caterpillar, bum up and pushing off. ok on bed and rug, not so easy on laminate floor!
pinky hope Mimi feels better soon x
W really restless at mo - really grumpy and irritable. but he's loving his food even if it is pretty much a roast every night due to the dairy problem. have just found some bread and veg pate he can have so lunch times are abit more interesting!
am sooooo tired - should go to bed
