Marthasmama Fri 03-Apr-09 21:21:56

In that case Myjob how about this? God I love that car!!! So yummy!!

purpleflower Fri 03-Apr-09 21:27:35

Thanks for the new thread smile

So far I haven't noticed any affect on DD at all. I started taking it about 6.30 pm but then paniked about DD and changed it to after her last feed, she then generally gets a bottle for the next feed whenever that is in the night and the breast from then on. I try and make it that its the longest she will go between feeds when I take it smile

I'm feeling a little tipsy, I went to the little shop near me earlier because I really fancied a strongbow sirus but they didn't have any so I ended up with a big bottle of pineapple bacardi breezer. It's really not as nice as I remember from when I was 14 hmm It's times like these I wish I liked wine!

ronshar Fri 03-Apr-09 21:28:44

I have just posted on the old thread about my bad day. Cant be bothered to type it all again.

I love these bunnies. Brilliant.

Marthasmama Fri 03-Apr-09 21:30:16

Ronshar - I'm going to answer you on this thread rather than face the wrath of CSWS. Poor W, too little to have german measles sad. I thought that your immunity stayed with them until they were 8 months? It does for measles which is why M didn't get it when ds did.

pepperrabbit Fri 03-Apr-09 21:35:53

pineapple bacardi breezer! we need a grin lying sideways for that one wink

ronshar Fri 03-Apr-09 21:41:21

Yes I am here too. That CSWS is just far too strictgrin

I dont really know about the immunity thing. I have had a look on the tinternet and it seems to be passed really easy. By talking, sneezing, coughing etc. I am frantically trying think of anyone I have been with who could be pregnant!

ronshar Fri 03-Apr-09 21:44:53

I would love to have a few drinks but I dont get enough sleep to sleep it offenvy Bacardi Breezer, surely it has to be a Smirnoff Ice?

Good luck to Jrsqueak for her big day tomorrow. I hope it is good weather and it all goes well.

pepperrabbit Fri 03-Apr-09 21:45:37

How long does german measles last for ronshar? Will you be housebound for a while?

Marthasmama Fri 03-Apr-09 21:46:36

I know I'm a bit scared of her, but I expect she'll like that wink

Ronshar - This is from the NHS website. I didn't link as there was loads of irrelevent stuff. "Newborn babies are often immune to certain diseases, such as mumps, measles and rubella. This is because protective antibodies are passed to them from the mother's placenta. However, immunity usually only lasts for a few weeks, or months, although in the case of measles, it may last up to a year.

Rubella is highly contagious
The rubella virus is highly contagious, so it is very important for children to be vaccinated at an early age. Early immunisation against the rubella virus will provide protection against infection during childhood. As the immunity acquired at birth can last for up to a year, the MMR vaccination is usually given at around 13 months of age, followed by a booster injection before the child starts school (usually when they are between 3-5 years of age)."
But clearly that didn't work for poor W!

purpleflower Fri 03-Apr-09 21:47:31

I didn't see any smirnoff ice in there [fsad] I drink so infrequently and really fancied a drink so I bought the only thing they really had apart from beer and wine.

Marthasmama Fri 03-Apr-09 21:47:58

I would love some Pimms....mmmmmm Pimms.

purpleflower Fri 03-Apr-09 21:48:23

German measles sounds horrible, hope he feels better soon.

Marthasmama Fri 03-Apr-09 21:54:09

Yay! I finished my first thread! I used lots of bunnies!!

Marthasmama Fri 03-Apr-09 21:55:00

smile grin sad wink shock angry envy blush hmm - I'm too excited about the bunnies. I've got to grow up and snap out of it <slap slap>

That's better.

ronshar Fri 03-Apr-09 21:55:33

Purpleflower the GP said about two weeks and he should be fine. I guess I shall have to be very careful about where I go. The problem is the Easter holidays start today so I have two children to entertain!

Thank you MM. I didnt know that.
I want to know where it came from. i dont think I know anyone who has it. I told girls at pre-school this afternoon. They dont know of anyone who has it? Mystery

ronshar Fri 03-Apr-09 21:57:48

Oh my lord I thought I was on Netmums with all that colourgrin.

I have to agree these bunnies are bloody brilliant.

Ekka Fri 03-Apr-09 21:58:08

I'm having a glass of wine & watching the 'Top Dogs' programme on bbc2. So far both dc's are being good and letting me watch it without disturbance smile

Ronshar, your poor little chap....

pepperrabbit Fri 03-Apr-09 22:01:42

I have to go to bed as I'm practically dribbling with tiredness (or could be the two large glasses of wine hmm)
I just wanted one more bunny
smile

Marthasmama Fri 03-Apr-09 22:01:59

Ronshar - I think it takes a few days for the rash to come out. Plus the spots can sometimes disappear in a matter of hours. So a child at pre-school could have had German Measles, got a rash and by the time they got home it could have gone. So the parents would just assume it was a cold. It doesn't wipe you out in the same way measles does so it's more difficult to spot.

Marthasmama Fri 03-Apr-09 22:03:59

shock Ronshar! Nothing is glittering or sparkling or flashing or moving. ((((((((((hugs)))))))) for your poor LO hun. wink [bvomit] !

CantSleepWontSleep Fri 03-Apr-09 22:07:20

You are all so meeaaaan. No one would be so horrid about me on netmums.
