Oh cute title!

Oooh it's all lovely - fluffy newborns (not melons) all over the place (well one anyway) Now we can all get on with nagging encouraging Elkie.

So Elkie - do you know what I think you need to do to get your baby into the starting gate.......

See, I knew she'd re-appear just after I got kicked off MN so that I couldn't join in the excitement

Just popping by to add my congrats to oooggs and family. Lovely news and welcome to Luke Daniel. I haven't really caught up on everyone's news since I last posted but I did notice that SPB was pg - congrats to her too! Very exciting that all these new siblings are arriving/on their way.

It's been a bit of a shocking week in my household - DS1 had a referral appointment with the paedatric surgeon last Tuesday for a lump that keeps appearing in his groin. Turned out to be an inguinal hernia and the operation to repair it was yesterday. All seemed to happen very quickly. Still he's right as rain today, just a little sore where they cut into him.
To add to my woes DH came home on Friday morning with the contents of his desk in a carrier bag having been made redundant ! He was worried about it as a possibility (as is everyone else in the banking industry) but not nice to actually happen.

Also when updating MIL last week/over the weekend she has been pretty vague on the phone. Turns out FIL has been doing the dirty !!! Poor her, what a ratbag! Am hoping that's my 3 things...

As a result I've not really thought about DC3! But the scan is on Thursday and I'm looking forward to seeing him/her and concentrating on some positive news...fingers crossed...

Hope all are keeping well - there seem to be few posts about sickness (on the whole) so there must be a bit of respite. Long may it continue!!

Bloomin Heck hotcross

(btw, it's nearly Easter again so you'll have done an entire year with your Easter name )

I'm quite that they did the hernia op so quickly, J (ds2) has the same thing and it's been about 8 months since his first docs appt but still no date for an op

DH has (should be "had" I suppose) private health care through work which has covered DS1's care and operation. Just hope we don't end up having to pay for it now.

Hope your DS2's appointment comes through soon - although I wasn't in any rush for DS1 to have a general!

I know I have had my Easter name for too long - might just keep it now, when pg with DS1 a friend used to joke about me having a "hot Cross bun in the oven"! I suppose I ought to update it seeing as there's another one on the way!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/01/2009 17:31

Should be 3 hot cross bunnies I guess!

I'm in no hurry for him to have a general either, it's just the complete lack of communication - I have no idea what's happening when. He'll have to have special care from the an....tist (you know what I mean!) as the narcolepsy I have and he may have means a bad reaction to general.

Evening all

George has been so upset tonight before bed. He is full of cold and thoroughly fed up.
Think we're going to have a hard couple of days ahead until we both start feeling better.

2HCB - Sorry you're having such a hard time. DH and I both work for a bank and it's a scary time.

Been feeling all soppy this afternoon thinking about newborn babies

Poor George Leaky, F has a cold too and had me up several times last night. I find it tough enough and I am not carrying another bundle around with me! Hope you both get some sleep tonight, and both feel much better soon xxx

Not posting much because I have no news, not much of a life at the moment, just watching for everyone else's birth announcements, sigh.

Sorry to hear about the health problems and money worries in your family, 2HCB.

Thanks all for your kind words. Most of the time we never have any "news" and then it all happens at once!

Good luck to Elkie over the next few days, hope the baby comes soon. I know a few people in RL who are due in the near future - 1 with no 3 and 1 with twins, neither are in a rush for the babies to arrive!!!

Hope Leaky and MJ had better nights x

Chin up elkie, your baby will be here before you know it I have to say that I am a tad envious of never getting that wonderful newborn moment ever again!

Leaky, hope your night was not too bad. F had me up a couple of times and I do feel really tired today. I just hate the fact that I don't get more than a couple of hours of unbroken sleep, doesn't make for a happy mum I can tell you!!
