I started my maternity leave this week last year, and moved house on the same day!! A year on I'm soooooooo glad I'm not heaving my huge bump around and unpacking millions of boxes, but still feel sad it's all gone so quickly. I remember not being at all happy when ds1 turned one - definitely a first birthday thing 'cos I've really enjoyed his second and third birthdays - roll on next year!

Well mine's nearly 11 months old but yeah

Ds thinks he's in charge atm. Baby knows it all! Decided today he doesn't need naps, he's been grumpy on and off, but overall actually in a half decent mood, but everytime we put him down he just sat up and played! I think he may have got 10 minutes, but even that I doubt.

We went round MILs for dinner, and he spent the whole day chasing after the dog. Very funny!

He's 24lb 12.5 now.. puts him on 99percentile

Still haven't got him any birthday presents...

Due to return to work in a few weeks , he 25 and 1/2 lbs, almost walking still, no presents brought as yet.

Any one having parties? or any more babies?

Good morning - well I got a sleepin and breakfast in bed on Sunday morning which was much appreciated.
Still collecting bits and pieces for dd's b'day, I like the idea of a car YG no gender stereotyping. May have a wee look for something. So far we have a couple of books, some puzzles and will get some lego. I think that is plenty as she won't even understand.
No news on another one yet, forever hopeful though.

Got ds his first pair of shoes for his birthday - he was 1 yesterday! Got his photo taken wearing them in Clarks!
He walked surprisingly well in them - i thought he'd be tripping over them as he's never worn shoes before.
Although he must have been v. excited by them as he woke at 5.15am this morning - maybe he couldn't wait to put them on again! Little ratbag!

awww - happy birthday TracyK's little one! We've all gone a bit quiet, haven't we?! I know I have because I can hardly keep awake at work, never mind type, as ds2 is back to waking up at 5.20am......WHY?????! It's soooooo depressing to be up this early and not know how to stop it. He's wide awake and raring to go - we leave him until he's howling (6am today!) but it's always risky as sometimes he wakes his brother up (there's only a partition wall between them). Ho hum. Love him really, but would have more energy to love him if I had another hour's sleep..!!

Yes happy birthday TracyK's ds.
No idea about the sleeping in dot. dd has been waking up a little thirsty, give her some water and she lies back down and passes out again but she is a bit sickly AGAIN and that may be the reason. She has been asleep now for 2.5 hours.

ds has been waking at 5.15am on the dot for the past couple of mornings. But he only had an hours nap yesterday at nursery and this morning he didn't wake till 6.45am. Please don't say I need to cut his nap down to an hour as he was quite grumpy in the afternoon after only an hour. I'd rather give him 2 hours, have him happy in the day and get up at 5.15 I think. If I know thats going to be the case I'll just make sure I get to bed early. Was in bed and asleep for 9pm last night - feel so much better this morning!
Thanx for the birthday wishes girls.

dd3 is sleeping better since I readjusted the heating to come on at 5am rather than 6.30 - so now we're all boiling but she's sleeping til 7 again.

dd3s latest trick is to be playing with a toy, looking angelic, and then, when someone gets close enough, she beats them on the head hard with it! she's catching everyone with this trick which she thinks is hysterical as they scream and shout.

dd3s favourite toy is still her little people garage complete with toy cars and people - visiting babies like it too so I'd recommend it - it keeps her happy for ages.

we limit ds2's daytime naps to just an hour and he's still waking up early - 5am was a new record this morning... He's got a heater in his tiny room so he can't be cold... Just don't know, but we neeeeeeeed more sleep!

what age is ds2 Dot1? do you have to wake him after an hour or does he wake himself?

YG - hope dd gets well soon. Ds is having an early morning nap as I type - think nursery knackered him out yesterday!

YG - hope your dd feels better soon. Isn't it awful - will she not keep anything down. When we took dd up to the hospital last week they had us give her diaralyte 5ml every 5mins for 1.5 hours but dd seemed so much more chirpy and that amount of liquid at a time seemed to be ok.
dd at home again today, dh and I are working a 1/2 day each.
Thoughts are with the early risers.

Here you are!

YG, hope dd2 improves before tomorrow. Your dd too Chuffed.

Fennel - we adjusted the heating to come on at 5 instead of 6.30 as well! Was too hot for me though - have put it back to what it was before.

Happy birthday traceys ds

Nothing exciting happening here, we'll all over our sickness (fingers crossed, touching wood) and still need to organise stuff for ds's birthday, done nothing still.

Poor dd YG, hope they can help her

hope the sick babies are ok yorkiegirl and chuffed.

sickness has arrived in our house but only dd1 and dd2 so far and they're not very ill - just ill enough to be off school and lounge around looking listless. dd3 is bouncing fit - but for how long?

Hello all. DS is also a mite poorly and had me up at 4.30am this morning screaming and screaming in pain. I think he is sensitive to the ibruprofen that I gave him for his temp at 1am.
He is still awake and active which is more than can be said for me!
He was born on 29th April so will be one of the younger ones on here, which is good because I can see what presents went down well with your babies before I go spend any money LOL!
