Thanks everyone! I am grieving, it really hurts. Sobbed non-stop yesterday. I keep wanting to let her out and it feels weird not taking her for walks in the evening.
The hardest part is getting up in the morning and not being greeted by her when I go downstairs .

oh, izzy, I'm so sorry about your dog . We once had to have a cat rehomed and even though he was a horrible, nasty, scratchy thing who used to spray everywhere in spite of being spayed, and it was still a real wrench to have to walk away from him in the kennels.

It's been chatty and I missed it! Holly, would opaque tights ala Gok look OK? some cerise ones to match the dress? . Fabbo dress though.

Next door decided not to have her, so she has gone to a family with older children. They have been wanting a dog but have been waiting till the children were older so that they had more time. Someone is at home all the time for her so she will be alot happier and they will send pics of her, which I am looking forward to.

Izzy - nice to have you back - so very sorry for you re your dog - I know when mine stayed the night at the Vets, the house seemed empty - but Im sure each day things will ease for you. You know you have done the right thing. Is the new home far from yours?? (are you likely to bump into them??)

I got good nuchal results today (esp for my age - went from 1/100 (age) to 1/2700)

I don't think I will ever bump into the new owners. I don't know where they live as they were found by the Cocker Spaniel club, although I do have visions of myself chasing after every red cocker spaniel owner I see shouting "pleeeease can I stroke your dog!"
