hi all. I had my baby 4 weeks ago 2morro,ive been bleeding light ever since it did turn dark brown to black but in the night i had bad pain in my pelvis. Today i'm bleeding heavy. This is my 2nd child. I had bad pelvis pain all the way through my pregnacy-got so bad i couldn't walk! my midwife said the only cure was having the baby and that the pain would stop, she did have a name for this condition but ive totally 4got,it's where the bones loosen. Do u think this is the start of a period or more serious as i never stopped completely. Thanks

Hi there, Just noticed your thread, the pain in the pelvis was probably symphysis pubis disorder, i cant spell it! I had it in pregnancy and i had it after too. The Mw said it would go away, but it took quite a few visits to a chiropractor to get my back and body back in sync again. My back was all out of alignment due to the s p d, and the softening of joints. She worked wonders and sorted me out a treat. It was quite expensive, but worth it. £25 a session plus x rays and consultation £90, i think.

Re the bleeding it could be your period, but if you are in pain or unsure you must get it checked out by mw or doctor. I bled for about six weeks and felt really unwell after, i had hot flushes and stomach cramps. I went to the doctor and i had an infection of my womb, probably due to the fact that they had problems removing the placenta. I went for a scan too, to check that all the placenta had been removed. If I was you i would just get it checked out asap as you need to look after your self as well as you new baby, Congratulations by the way, hope this helps
