hello, back again.
Sorry I've been away, had family stuff do deal with here but it all seems to be settling down ok now.

I've also had problems with my jaw which is the result of a complicated wisdom tooth extraction 4 years ago. Sometimes it gets almost dislocated and the pain is horrendous. It often manifests itself as the most raging toothache . I went to the dentist TWICE yesterday (2 separate em dentists) and they both said there was nothing wrong with my tooth. The pain has subsided a little today, it's bearable now as opposed to the "please chop my head off" pain of yesterday. The problem is that when I have jaw probs NO painkillers work.

Anyhoo enough about me, hope you are all well!!

tell me about it - my baby is not baby no more!!

Ouch - kitty - not good - what about oral medication ie alcohol does that work??

I have missed out on whole threads with trying to get dd1 ready for school. Tuesday is the big day - she is off to mainstream formal schooling - starting three days a week with two days at the development unit transitioning to full time mainstream. (pic of her trying on school uniform on profile I think} we had a dry run and I took pics in case it was all too much on the day.

My hair has gone grey with the worry BUT she will have a ball.

Australia day here [waves happy aussie day to FOXY] - had a good morning with the dds but dh off for the night doing SES work and next dorr ( yobs) are partying already at 5pm - wonder what state they will be in by midnight or beyond. Last week was horrid swearing - abusing the girl who lives there calling her an f'en c* and smashing beer bottles on their drive!! charmers.

Kitty that sounds awful for you, poor thing.

Eidsvold all the best for Tuesday, I'm sure it'll be fine.

It's a soft day here today, fine misty rain and grey skies.
I could really go another couple of hours sleep. Not likely though!

kitty-glad things are settling down at home.i was supposed to have a wisdom tooth out a few years ago as it was impacted and i was told it would never fully come through, but i bottled out at the last minute.it came through fully when i was 27.before that i used to get awful infections in it and the only thing that numbed the pain was whiskey.

eids-i hope your neighbours pass out from drinking too much before they can cause too many problems!

its sunny here today but very cold and windy.i feel very strange today,i cant explain it.

i am struggling to find things to keep me occupied on the evenings.i still have a fondness for this place but i dont find i can spend longer than half an hour on here since i flounced a few months ago.last night i was bored and started arguing with someone i think was a troll on a ffvbf thread(she was standing up for ff btw).

facebook is boring me now the novelty has worn off,and i cant be bothered with that depression forum cos they delete your posts if you have a go at people

think ill have to download pacman or something.

Here you all are! I'd lost you

I have been picking fights with people diva - I find myself going onto threads to see if I can find someone who I strenuously disagree with . I think it's because I really want to shout at people at work for being such an utter useless bunch of wankers but I can't so I take it out on people here. I suppose it's better than picking fights with my friends.

Ow - kitty That sounds horrible, you poor thing

Eids - bet you can't believe it can you? Your big girl off to formal school. Hope you're both okay

I'm in shock that Elliot's nearly a year. How did that happen? It goes so fast doesn't it?

We're going round to some friends this evening - they have 2 cots so the plan is to put Elliot to bed and then we'll get a black cab home later. I'm ridiculously excited.

in and out, sitting is impossibly painful
Have been dx'd with sever tear to groin muscle, quads and knee are all swollen in sympathy hence my complaints for mths about the pain
Kitty (sympathies for jaw btw ow)TWAS the farking Kettlebells [shocks] what did it.
Physio said they were invented for russian weightlifters for a good reason and had I seen any russian weightlifters over 40, they all limped from dead knees and hips.
Right that's me told.
Anyway the Finnster is ace, sleeping well now the teeth thing has died down for now, we await the 8th but then apparently a long breask is ours until 9th appears well after a year old...
HOORAY

well do has promised to kiss all my pain away tonight and take my mind off it

Eids your dd1 looks amazing, isn't it incredible how well she has done to get into school. Bet she is so excited, it's funny did you ever have days when she was little when you thought she'd never be ready to go? I did with dd for sure, in the end it was ME, not ready to let hr go
But she is there and is happy as a pig in muck.

Happy ozzy day from the Kiwi corner

And 1st birthdays, am far too at ds1 being 14 next week to worry about ickle Finn turning 1!!!!
I feel old................

And new babies oh Jay and Shanks how goes it in the bun ovens?

bethoo - i LUURRRVVEE mahjong... but am always rubbish

kitty - tooth pain is one of the worst on the planet - poor you. I am dentist phobic so that is my worst nightmare from hell you are describing.

Had to go and buy new bed in the sales today as ours is finally falling apart (not from too much action you understand )

Lying on all the new beds in the showroom just brought home to me how crap ours has been - no wonder i've always had a bad back. I will never want to get out of our new one and look forward to waking feeling refreshed and energised.... oh i forgot... i have Samuel... errrr...

When we were students me and dh bought our first mattress together for the princely sum of £10. It was at the town dump - god only knows where it had come from or what had happened to it... we left it outside for 2 weeks incase there was anything living in it!!! . At the time i couldn't understand why my mum was so disgusted.... but ewwww... what were we thinking!!!!?????

Report
muppetisacat · 26/01/2008 21:57

must just clarify that our bed which has finally fallen apart is not the same one we had as students!!!

Mups - will look at your bed thread - I have just bought new bed for lodger and a new memory foam mattress for us. I'm excited about the prospect of my tired old limbs sinking into that foam

[hugs] to you Kitty - sounds excruciating you poor thing. Have you tried Nurofen Plus (with codeine)?

Eids - wow your DD is so grown up - she will have such fun at school about your yobby neighbours visitors though!

Happy Oz day!!

Kiwi - so that book works does it? What did you change as a result and how has it made a differnce [too knackered to try emoticon]

Morocco are you still BFing? You were donating milk too weren't you, so spcial care units?

Monti has learnt how to climb of the bed by swinging his feet down first, so no more rolling off for him I hope. He calls out "Mum" now and keeps putting the remote control to his ear 'cos he thinks its a mobile phone

Hi everyone!

Ah, Kiwibella you beat me to writing a new thread title... I was going to write a NetMums spoof one though so it's a good job you did get there first!

Diva I saw that thread too and ran a million miles from it. I've got into bf/ff debates before and come away feeling like I've been mauled!

Kitty, so sorry to hear about your tooth - that part of the body feels like it's connected to absolutely everything you poor thing. I hope you manage to get some relief.

Piffle huge cyber {{{hugs}}} to you, you must feel like you're falling apart. Are you able to get some help around the house from any friends / neighbours locally? As you ought to be doing very little indeed right now until you're a lot better.

Muppet I'll go and have a look @ your thread.

Spicemonster, where is your arguing thread then?

Hello everyone else!

I have dyed my hair black. I was so bored with its natural colour which seems to be a very boring brown. I hadn't had it natural for years and years so I decided to give it a whirl but it was not very exciting so it's back to the dye!

Bertie has finally learned to crawl, although he is not very interested in it and would much rather pull himself up onto furniture and attempt to cruise around. Trouble is, it's hard laminate flooring so I have to watch him constantly.

Job is fine - easy, stress free, and keeps me busy so I don't think about missing Bertie too much.

Yes, it's weird to think some more of our babies will be one soon. Isn't Amie's Joseph the next oldest after Jordi? I know Bertie is the youngest!!

Diva- GET ON A COURSE! don't waste energy on arguments and start studying in the evenings (you know I'm right ). you are very clever and your brain needs to be engaged. so get on with it! It'll make you rich too

I was at the dentist on thursday. Had my teeth cleaned and polished, I had a root canal thingy last year, it is all so uncomfortable even without the massive pain so much sympathy to you Kitty.

Foxy lol at the mobile remote Hasan climbs off the bed too, aren't they clever!

rosy-i want to do a course but i am in limbo-land at the moment as i am at the stage where im feeling better so need to do something but am still having problems with motivation and concentration.maybe i should enquire about doing a random GCSE for the sake of it to try and ease my brain back into gear.

apparently when Elsie goes to nursery,dh is going to be a house-husband and im going to go out to work.now, that sounds heavenly to me but i dont know how im going to find a job that pays enough to keep a family of 7

mossy-i felt as though i was being mauled by the ff's even though i ff myself.i just find it so strange that there are people who still believe formula is as good as bm.

bethoo-i can never get into any games or anything on Fb,i just never feel the urge to play them.

I've popped in a couple of times but had nothing to add

Diva I started with a maths O level then went on to an A level then a degree, over a period of 9 years

Piffle and kitty sorry you are both suffering.

Well DD has at last stood alone- for all of 2 seconds. Got up off my lap at Toddlers after someone else's top. Hasn't done it since. She also found the top stairs and was 4 or 5 steps up following the cat when we noticed....

Clever Monti and Hasan climbing off the bed.

AF returned today. Wonderful timing- 4 weeks before our 30 hour flight DH says I am always on on holiday, so it was to be expected

Hello all. Thanks for the birthday wishes - I feel really embarrassed about this, but I must have made a mistake about being birthday twins with Leo because my birthday is actually today! So belated happy birthday to Leo, which was obviously last week .

Have been out two nights on the trot - coffee mums gang on Friday to comedy night, then to town with some mates yesterday night, and we were supposed to be going out for a meal tonight but decided it was a bit much, particularly as I'm in work at 6.30 tomorrow and should be asleep now.

Kitty, hope your teeth get better - ouch. Have just had DS teething with no 7 which is through now, thank the lord. I think he's also developing separation anxiety as has been really mummyish the past few days, but it may just be exacerbated by the teething.

Too tired to remember what else was said, sorry, so will try and come back when my brain is more engaged - see you all in 10 years minimum in that case... oh yes, happy Oz day for yesterday Eids. I have very fond memories of that day from my stay Down Under, got a bit friendly with a fellow traveller that night and for the succeeding few weeks till our paths went different ways. Ah, twas great being young(er).... [drifts off down Memory Lane]

Hee hee Reverssy!

Happy Birthday Callie!

Evenhope your dd will be soon walking!

Got a stuffy nose and sore throat today.

Had the cutest red squirrel in my back garden at the weekend. Usually see grey ones so I was delighted and excited to see the little fed one.

ds1 confirmation was brilliant and very moving.

Hasan decided to be wide awake from 1.30-3am last night! not usual for him.

Hope everyone's on the mend today
