Fiona - I think i might take a look at it.

Loopy - wow, 11lb at 5 weeks?? That's some achievement!!!!

Sarah - well done for for 6 hour sleepathon!! Wonderful!

Choc - It was indeed lovely and we intend to do the same again next weekend, but I think this time we'll go out earlier. Sorry you had a pants night. What a killer, and to top it off you're having a root canal. Ooooouuuccch!!!! Dont blame you for spoiling yourselves with an M&S weekly shop!

Not alot going on here. I'm meeting with another local MNer tomorrow to see if her baby carrier fits me. I carried Ellie in her ring sling for a little bit earlier, which is great when she's asleep but she doesn't like her movement being restricted when she's in it so she started fussing. I'm after a Wilkinet now i think. Does anyone have any experience of using one? I've watched the video instructions on how to put it on and it seems really really easy.

Good idea on the new thread- twas taking a long time to load.

Choc- GF is fine if you are BFing. Its actually better because when I was feeding by demand I was feeding every 1 and half hours but not feeding her for long enough she didn't sleep very well because she was always hungry. Now I feed for longer each feed but every 3-4 hours and further apart at night and she seems much happier. There has been a few occasions when she is hungry between feeds so I just feed her if she needs I'm not sticking to it religiously.

We have put our house on the market and put an offer in on a new house and it was excepted. Scary!!!! Its a bigger house so bigger morgage but needs work doing. We hope to turn it into 2 flats.

Fiona - hmmm.... sounds like what i am doing already. I'm feeding on demand, but she only feeds every 3 hours during the day and longer at nightn (5 hours if i'm lucky).

Sparkly - so about your cat xx

fiona - congrats on the house!

Have decided I'm just too lazy to follow GF! DD found her own routine at 5 weeks, but William is much fussier. We've decided it's time for him to go in his cot as he his just so big in the crib, so DH will build the cot this week. He likes to sleep with his arms straight out so I think he'll be happier in his cot.

Sorted out the christening date today - my Dad's going to do it as he's a vicar. It'll be a lovely party too!

RG- not too good last week- she only gained an ounce. BF expert not too bothered as she'd put on over 1lb 5 oz over the month which is good. Weighing again this Thursday- fingers crossed. have had to increase the domperidone

Good one on the new thread Rg.

Fiona - glad Gf is working for you. Good luck with the house buying.

Choc - poor old you and your dental traumas. If it hurts afterwards put a soluble asprin on it and leave to disolve. Works a treat.

LOL I just tried to put T to bed in his nursery. After a couple of hours he woke up hungry but was too sleepy to feed properly. I took him downstairs into our brightly lit lounge with the telly on. He woke and gorged himself and was asleep 10 mins later. So much for keeping babies in a darkened room at night.

Happy snoozing. XX

Still wobbly about what happened with my cat on friday, but after spending all evening crying on friday, I am cried out now. DH said he has never seen me so upset.

I was 29 today... had a lovely lie-in and got a CD and chocolates for my b-day, plus £20 from PIL which I will buy new fish with tomorrow.

Callum has been very grumpy today but looking in his mouth, he appears to have 2 small white marks just under his gums, so I think he might be teething He is now sleeping from 10-5, so am getting a nice sleep.

My aunt came to see us today with my new cousin, who is tiny and so sweet. I was looking for some babygros for her and found one of Callum's first babygros that he wore in SCBU and OMG its so small, he is double the size of it now...

Happy birthday Sparkly.

Dd2 gained an ounce RG- not a pound. An ounce isn't a very good gain - thought you must have been confused

Morning ladies!!

Happy birthday Sparkly!! Have a great day! It's my birthday next Monday, although i'm not looking forward to it in the slightest - the big FOUR-OH!!!

LOM - Can i have your email address please so i can send you Heroes?!

Pixie - Sorry, i meant that the 1lb 5oz gain was a good gain. Think i've still got a pg brain.

Ellie slept from midnight til 5am last night. Does that count as a sleep through?! She then slept til about 8.45 so lots of sleeps going on in the RGP household!

Have a good day everyone

That totally counts as sleeping through rg.

Anyone's babies sleeping in their own room yet? Am thinking about it with Megan but worried about going against sids guidelines

RGPargy · 14/01/2008 12:44

Yay!!!

Silk - it wont be long before we have to put Ellie un her room. She's not outgrown her basket yet but her cot is huge and wont fit in our room anyway so we'll have no choice but to put her in her own room. DS was in his own room early too and it did him no harm.

Silk- DD has been in own room since she was 2 and a half weeks but as our house is so small I can still hear her she is only about 3 metres away as I sleep near the door in our room and she is near the door in her room.

Morning all!! -we are getting photos taken today so we can put the house on the market. Talked to the morgage lender today and they said its all fine- not much more than we are paying now so thats good. Just hope we get a decent price for this place. I'm knackered from cleaning and tending to DD.

Fiona - good luck with the house selling. Remember what the house doctor says, remove all clutter (how do we do that with little babies?), depersonalise - no photos up. I ahve to say it's worked wonders when I've sold my previous houses (everything gets swept into drawers just before a viewing)

Hi girls! Found you!

I dont know hey, go away for the weekend and its like you have tried to "lose" me!!

Hope you all had a lovely few days - im not even going to bother to try and catch up!

Daniel has been ok while we have been away, MIL, despite my ishoos with her, seemed to find the magic button! Just put him down and leave him! He has settled himself to sleep for the past 3 days - with no crying - actually holding him made the crying worse! WOOOO HOOOO

Am putting him into his big boy cot tonight so fingers crossed its as easy as it has been all weekend!

We bought him some 3-6mnth sleepsuits and he is filling them nicely.... scary stuff as he isnt even 7 weeks old yet!

RGP - Ive got a wilkinet in dark red cord fabric if you want it? Daniel hates it (fussy boy, prefers being stretched out!) so its just sitting there!

Evening all!

Fiona - exciting stuff with the house move!! Deffo recommend silk's decluttering tip.

Loopy - I like the sound of a stretchy wrap but i dont know if it'd but confident with it (or actually know how to tie it!). I bought a Tomy carrier from another user of MN today and it's quite awkward and fiddly to put on, but it'll do me until i get my Wilkinet (plus it was only £8 so cant moan really).

Jarm - Glad you had a nice few days away. Fingers crossed that Daniel is ok with his cot! Good luck!! Does your Wilkinet have the extra long straps (please say yes!)? The dark red cord one is the exact one that i want!

LOM - have emailed you. Will post the DVDs tomoz.

Ellie is also into her 3-6 months stuff now. 2 weeks ago i tried one of her babygrows on and it swamped her but now it's kinda fitting just right! All her 0-3 month stuff is too short on the legs and her poor little toes are curled up. Must get some bigger babygrows tomorrow. Cruel mummy!!

DD is currently being bathed by DP (it's his daddy bonding time) but she's protesting up there for some reason!

Gonna have a nice glass of vino in a sec.

Hope you're all having a nice evening.
