Found you!

Morning everyone.

Can't remember what everyone saoid on the other thread. My parents are the type to muck in. In fact, they arrived at the same time as the hairdresser yesterday, so mum did the nappy changes while my colour was taking. we are going to try and get Shula to take a bottle from mum today, so we can leave her at home tomorrow, but won't worry if she doesn't as DP's colleagues would love for us to take her with us.

Inzi - your Lo is beautiful.

I hope everyone is well.

Have joined in and put piccies of Anya on. Inzi, I'm with you - I had a c-section after 22 hours of labour and there's no way I'm posting a post-natal picture of me on here!

Had a rubbish evening. Anya hardly slept yesterday so by 5pm was screaming with tiredness. I spent all evening cuddling her to sleep but every time I put her in her moses basket she'd wake again and start fussing. This happens every time she's been awake most of the day. Anybody have any tips for helping babies get to sleep better for naps?

Hi All - found you! I've been staying with my parents for a couple of days so offline. I may be speaking too soon but I feel like I've finally cracked the breast feeding! Jacob is actually feeding and then not immediately crying as if he's still starving hungry. It makes such a difference! The true test will be later, when the hv weighs him I guess..fingers crossed!

I've decided to get in on the act and have put some piccies of my LO on my profile page. Dal - you certainly do look amazing! Your LO is SOO cute!

Hope everyone's well and has a lovely day xxx

Aww all the LO's are soo cute will have to try and post some pics later. I am really glad I already have Zoe or else those baby pics would make me seriously broody and muppet Ollie is really really cute.

Colly glad you feel you have the breast feeding sorted and I hope that Jacob has put on weight when he is weighed

Anyasmum Zoe does exactly the same, she can be in a really deep sleep in my arms and as soon as I put her down she is wide awake, I ended up giving her a dummy and it works for her. I know its not everyone's cup of tea and TBH I HATE dummies but I did just decide that life is too short and she wont have it forever.

Winnie glad you have got help from your parents and am at you getting your hair done, I really need to get mine done but don't really think I can take Zoe with me and my mum and sister have both been sick for the last couple of weeks so I have no one to leave her with.

Dal just to echo everyone else you do look amazing in your photo and I am so jealous you got skin to skin contact with your LO. Zoe was in Intensive Care by the time I came round from the GA

Hey Inzi, Choc and anyone else I have missed hope you all had good nights last night. I had an ok night not great but not bad either but I feel great this morning! Have already written my Christmas cards and made a Christmas card for Zoe to send to our friends babies

Found you! Thought it was strange that there were no new messages on the other thread! Cute babies all round!

Dareh grumped all evening again. It's really hard work. How do you guys get your babies to sleep? I would love Dareh to sleep in the evening, have a feed at about eleven and then sleep until morning but he is having none of it and refuses to sleep in the evening at all! He sleeps fine in the day pretty much though - maybe I let him sleep too much in the day? I don't like to wake him though.

Hi all! found you!

All the baby pics are super cute and Ollie is just gorgeous!! He's going to break some hearts when he's older

I have pics on mine too but you've probably already seen them...

Polar I am totally with you on the dummy thing. Sam never had one because he wouldn't take it and I don't really like them but it works really well for Adam so who cares!

Um - can't remember anything else!!!

Catch you later....xxxx

Hi everyone,

Shula took a bottle from mum this morning, so I will risk leaving her at home tomorrow when we go out.

They have now gone for the night as they are going to an anniversary party and staying over. DP has taken DD1 to the school disco so they will be gone until 6pm.

I have a mobile hairdresser. I don't think I could have gone to a salon unless Shula was asleep.

Shulais not keen on the dummy, but will take it if nothing else is on offer.

Hey all,

I am feeling kind of crappy because I have bashed our car and DH thinks it will be very expensive to get fixed. I am a shit driver and am always scraping the car. I used to drive the old banger so it didn't matter but because of the baby I get the nice car - it is safer. I feel awful

Dareh has slept loads today so prob in for the night of hell. I hate dummies too but Dareh uses one otherwise my life would be impossible!

Alice -that photo of Adam being born is amazing!

Stefka - about the car.

Inzi - good news about jane re the weight gain, that must have put your mind more at ease

We saw Oliver's nativity today and oh my god did I have to fight not to cry I was so emotional! Proud mummy moment of my son the sheep. Dh videoed the whole thing so will be making dvd's of it for the whole family for Christmas. H was a good boy and I didn't have to b/f him half way through.

My bf (Ollie's godmother) came to see us this afternoon which was fab as it's hard to meet up these days as we're all so busy. He was soo excited as she's great with him. We're hoping to meet up on Christmas eve with another set of friends and their baby with my bf and her husband in Wales! It's a bit of a trek but us 3 girlies haven't got together since June. Can't wait!

Busy weekend ahead as it's our neighbours Christmas party (he sons) and most of the street are going so that's a good chance for a natter and a mince pie or 2. On sunday we're heading up to London for our stay in a hotel and vist to Father Christmas (or 'FC' as he's known as it's a surprise for Ollie) in Harrods. Might go to the Natural History Museum on Mon afternoon as it should be quite this time of year

Am then going up North to Manchester on Tues to stay with the in laws till sun
anyone from around Manchester fancy a meet up?

Speak later
x

Polarmummy - I do use a dummy, which she likes. Today I've been cuddling her longer before putting her down, so she's properly asleep - that seems to work. All I've got to do now is work out how to get her to nap for longer than 45 minutes. I'll get there eventually I suppose - is there ever a point where everything works just as you want it to??

Muppetgirl - I live near Manchester. Whereabouts are you going to be? I was planning on avoiding Manchester centre like the plague until after New Year, but if you're near me we could meet up.

Why can't I get my profile and pics public?
