ooooh that's my title

Pulls self together - B is yelling. Went up, cuddled and sat in rocking chair - she is very still and sleepy. Put back in cot - frantic kicking - tricky in a grobag and now yelling again. I know what the problem is - she likes me All the time
The trouble is I know if I bring her downstairs she'll just doze on my lap - and that will be lovely and I hate to hear her calling for me - special crying note - but we do need to sort out who's in charge. It's me and it's sleep time for babies! Please someone tell me I can do this!

Thanks - she's gone quiet now - so that wasn't too bad was it?

Pesha - on the other thread you said things weren't great with dp. I'm sorry to hear that - must be really tough for you. Do you want to say what was in your life before this last pregnancy, that you so miss now - would that help? Just ignore me if you would prefer not

we've been to a christening today (my cousin's new baby.) Have you all christened you lo's or not? quick poll for me please!
bil brought the boys some bunk beds and very kindly put them up, but have spent ages rearranging the room and then carried on having a sort out! A bit like very belated spring cleaning, lol but it has made me feel quite pleased with myself!

so had to deal with a sick and very over tired toddler with a hangover fom hell, but I've decided that I am doing it all over again next year was so worth the hangover

Cazboldy - we don't do christenings 'cos we attend a Baptist church - though I'm C of E born and bred and dh comes from an independant non-conformist background - so we have had infant dedications for our three. Similar promises to a christening but no water and no Godparents - though you can have them if you like. I didn't feel the need as the whole church promises to help you raise your child - so it's like they have 150 godparents

No christenings here. DD had a 'naming day' Looked into it for ds, wsa at the cost. Must've had pfb head on for dd's Plus we're now in a bigger house, so less cash and we now have 2 dc's to pay for so ds is not having one Gonna give him a biggish 1st birthday party though

Where is everyone these days Mighty quiet

Another one who has dedications rather than christenings here. My dad is a Baptist minister. Izzy's is booked in for 30th December when the family is all around from Christmas...I'm really looking forward to it.

Back later, am half watching some strange film with DH!!

Back home at last, arrived at 4 pm or so to find work still in progress, had to retreat to a cafe for tea. Lots of stuff still to sort out, and as well as tiling in kitchen have discovered leaks in connections from new sink into cupboard under it - aaaarrrrggghhh!

Glad to hear our representatives at the mn Xmas party had a good time.

One of my postnatal group is 13 weeks pg again (planned), I'm thrilled for her. Crossing my fingers it continues to go ok, as I know she had several miscarriages between 4 year old ds and 10 month old dd. 3rd baby due next June.

Hi Elkie - do hope you get all fixed soon! Lovely news for your friend - she's a brave woman! I find 6 years between dd2 and B just about long enough

Morning all, just dropping in before I head to work.

Pesha, I am really sorry thngs with you and dp are a bit pants. Are you able/willing to air your thoughts on here so that we can support you?

POTC, hope you get connected again soon.

KHIN, hope your dd is over the sick bug soon.

WO, good to see you.

No christenings here for either dd. Me and dh aren't christened either. Won't be doing any naming ceremony thing either.

Right, better get my arse in gear. Poor K has a horrid chesty cough - typical! At least she is with dh on a Monday, so hopefully she will be ok for tomorrow.

See y'all later!

Morning ladies!!!

KHIN/NB, pleased you had a grand time at the meet-up.

Pesha - Hope D is feeling better.

Er ...... forgotton everything else....

Caz - we havent had C christened - keep thinking about it but since both our families are about 150 miles away from us in opposite directions it would be a logisitcal nightmare - would feel very guilty asking people to travel all this way just for christening and then afternoon tea, but dont really want to spend loads of money hiring restaurant type place...Having said this dp went out yesterday and spent £600 on a camcorder....which would have paid for a rather jolly christening

Oh my boast of the day - C went down at 6.45 last night, had a dream feed at 12 and then didnt wake until 7.10am It is the first time ever that he has slept this long - or until this time - even if he wakes 3 times during the night he doesnt sleep past 6.30 normally. I was delighted this morning!!

thanks all
we haven't had any of mine christened as neither of us are religious, but the main reason we havent is because of our families hating each other - basically we just avoid any need for family gatherings!

Well Done to your little lovely GMM - yey for a good night

MIL bought us a TV licence (we have a TV, but no licence, so only watched DVD) - she didn't like coming round to babysit and not being able to watch her programmes It's quite nice, but DH & I still only watch may be a programme or two a week .....

How is everyone today??

Morning all. Havent been around for a few days and it is just impossible to catch up. Did see your news CD, sorry to see that you were disappointed, still at least you can keep trying I am not in any shape or form. No more for me!

I wanted to ask for some help from those of you who live in London please. I am coming to London to see Joseph this Thursday in the Adelphi Theatre. From what I can tell on a map this is next to Covent Garden? I know that Covent Garden has stacks of restaurants so can anyone recommend one that I can get a nice meal in pre show? Dont want to end up choosing any old one and getting crap dinner! Would be grateful for any advice, thanks ladies xx

BTW, I am SOOOO excited about Thursday A whole night away in a hotel just me and dh. My parents have got the children [fools emoticon]!!
