Morning! Today I am going to buy a nomad travel cot. They are SO EXPENSIVE but look really good and should get good use out of it. It is a day for spending money.. now that we know my dad won´t have his operation for a few weeks we know we can go to London all relaxed and enjoy it. Which means SHOPPING!! Also going to buy a sleeping bag.. thought I should try and get him to sleep in it until we go on thursday so that when we go he´ll already be used to it as something familiar from home. Good idea or pointless?

at shopping! Good idea to get him sleeping in it! So not everything is new and scary and so it smells right. We love out travel cot. We've got the omoo one and it's lovely. We took it back to SIL's last night and bathed T and put him to sleep in it until we left at 12. He went out like a light - great! And then we just folded it back up and chucked it in the back of the car.

which one is the omoo?

hopefully the name change is prophetic (?) he did a giant poo this morning so fingers crossed that big clear out is what he needed to get him back on track. Last night was 1am, 5am, 7am which is okaaaay but I could really do without the 1am feed especially as I can´t see to get to bed before 11pm.

oomo We got it with air travel in mind because it's the lightest one you can get. Oh, and I like the colour

I have been spoilt by T sleeping through! I think I'd crack if he went back to nights like that!

I know what you mean sbs, T goes to bed at 9 and by the time I've got a bit of stuff done and sat down with DH for 20 mins or so it's 11pm
T has been playing on his baby gym - feeling the crinkly flower and chewing it, picking up his rattle and putting it in his mouth. Can't believe about 4 or 6 weeks ago he screamed when we put him on it, and 2 weeks ago he needed to be handed toys to play with! It's amazing how fast they develop and how much I'm not noticing until he's been doing it for a while!

well that IS how I feel he was only waking at 5am and then at 9am so I am feeling considerably hard done by..

cute travel cot, lovely colour but definitely need/want something that folds down really compact.. am humming and hawing between the nomad or the arc 2 as they look so similar but if the mattress on the arc 2 is crap I´ll feel like a bad mummy for skimping on my lo´s comfort...but the nomad IS double the price...overpricing or price reflecting quality??

Anyone else entering the ballot for Led Zeppelin tickets? And if not, would you enter for me? Only allowed one entry per household.. they´re dh´s favourite band and it would be AMAZING to see them...

SPB -I know what you mean. N HATED his gym for ages and now happily rolls from side to side talking to himself. There´s an elephant he can pull down which then winds back up again and I remember thinking it would be ages before he could do that - and now he can He´s so cute! [proud mummy]

ok, I'm done with the posts! I tried to write an apology last night, as so many posts had said they had cried, but it came out all wrong.

Anwyay, the moment has passed, so there is no need of any more sad posts.

This will make you cry though Pillock

Dd sleeps 12 hours, but Ds keeps on waking. This morning DS woke at 5am and nothing would get him back to sleep, he came into our bed and was chattting and fidgeting. I nearly cried, DH nearly cried, even the cat looked emotionally drained this morning!

We resorted to putting the tv on in our room, but I couldn't sleep, so went into Ds bed, which is a childrens one. At least I got an extra hours sleep though.

It is either nursery trauma or adenoid/throat again...

Morning all. Maveta, love the new name.

D's liked his play gym and the playmat borrowed from the libray since we started using each of them. He likes the freedom to wriggle around, though soon he will be rolling if not crawling and I will find things harder than at the moment. Went to the park yesterday to meet 2 mummy friends with babies, and I. who is 7 months was crawling around the grass everywhere, he came up and started to crawl on to my lap briefly too.

Oh and I forgot to say how funny it is, she thought she was going to have a boy (didn't bother finding out at scan cos they wanted a surprise but felt it was a boy)...so MIL bought boy clothes for it

happy news nappy. When will you get to see the new little one?

I'm off to spend the £200 I got from phones4 U. (I said I wanted to end my contract for out 2 phones) Hmmm Mothercare or M&S??

Beofre that, it's time to make our weekly appearance at the toddler group. It is not the best, but the only one around.

Rachel and I have now stopped BF, but I loved that whole thing, and all the parphanalia that went with it. The lilypadz were great, but I gave up on them after an unfortunate milk incident in church...

We're going down there next weekend (fri-mon). Had to arrange it in advance so that ILs weren't busy and could have us to stay! So we thought it best to leave it until more than 2 weeks after her due date so there was def a baby!!!
