Best cream for eczema/dry skin pls?

Hi all
Tried mustela, e45, organic coconut oil and double base gel from the Dr's however nothings worked.
Baby's skin is scaley like he has constant goosebumps on his body but is red blotches and dry skin on his face. Nothing seems to absorb. Dr said its eczema so nothing sinister! Any suggestions please.

My baby has eczema and the dr gave him edpaderm cream, some epaderm ointment for his bath, hydrocortisone (only to use for a week when his skin is particularly bad) and oilatum for his bath x

We used certraban cream (we bought the big pump) but is available on prescription I believe.
Use it religiously twice a day and added thin amounts of hydrocortisone when it was flaring.
We have never found anything that triggers the flare ups annoyingly so just need to be mindful to not use the hydrocortisone too much/too long.
Additionally only bath in warm water and wash with e45 wash or the certraban cream.

Nothing beats diprobase for us. DS has had excema since he was 3 months old and only diprobase is badass enough to keep it in check.
I also use it on my hands when they are dry and sore, clears them up overnight.

I work in dermatology and we always recommend the greasier the better. Something like Hydromol ointment is great, put it on as often as you can (not great on clothes but really will help skin). Also make sure you always put it on before you put baby in bath as it acts as a barrier, coz bathing will often make eczema worse. Don’t use any soaps or scented bathing products, you can use moisturisers to wash with. If emollients don’t help on there own you may need some Hydrocortisone from the GP. Good luck

My son had mild eczema, we were prescribed Oilatum and a hydrocortisone (sparingly) the only thing that kept it at bay was the Childs Farm products. He’s now five and they are the one products I trust. Good luck x

We've been using Aveeno Baby Dermexa on our little girl, it seems to be more easily absorbed than the Oilatum lotion the doctor prescribed. We also keep it in the fridge so it's cool and soothing for her.

The only thing that works for my DS is aveeno baby cream and a mild hydrocortisone when it flares up!! But it doesn't flare up much at all if I use the aveeno morning and night! We tried diprobase,childs farm, moogoo, E45 stuff and a few other prescriptions and over the counter treatments.

My baby was prescribed epimax by the gp. However I've found that the child's farm one is much more effective (at least it has been on his face, haven't used it on his busy yet)
