February 2004: Time to apply for school. Gulp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey ladies

Where has the time gone? I've just completed online applications for the DTs and can't quite get over the fact that this time next year they'll be in wee uniforms with shiny black shoes.

Doesn't seem that long ago that we all gave birth to them does it?

So... how are you and yours doing?

Mine: currently wee weapons of mass destruction. There's been butter smeared over all the couches, sugar all over the floor. There's been toilet duck all over DD1's bedroom that the DTs have swum in.

On the plus side. They play so nicely together (and get into mischief so nicely together). They are talking, singing, laughing. They're great fun (when not destroying something) and they seem to have good friends separate from each other.

DT1 is a real girlie girl. Lots of pretty dresses and plays with dolls.
DT2 likes mud, balls and cars.

Nothing stereotypical there then! lol

Anyway......... I know you're out there!

Pop by and say hi!

Where are you all hiding? Is it my tales of the DTs that scares you?

I've found you

Ds is in nursery now, has been for oabout 4week, and he wears a lovely uniform (but also expensive)!

He plays nicely with my dd (2), but also fights, screams and hits her at times

But he also plays row..row your boat with her, and made up games (newest one is shops)!

Really can't believe he starts school next year, he's still so small!

hiya all,
it seems ages since ds was born and i remember posting excitedly all about it.....

ds is such a character- he is soooo loving and would give you his last anything.he is just so funny in his ways and is like a mini turbo from early morning to the minute his eyes eventually shut..

my favourite phrase from last week was

"Yippee, yes mummy i 'ave pound my c's adain...i tan say it"
bless him he's been having speech therapy for a while and we're still on his first sound, but as you can see we still have a lonnng way to go

i can't believe that it's time to apply for school(hoping he will get in is another matter but am not going to worry as 2nd choice is not wrong for him but would mean a nightmare 3 years with two at different primary schools)as dd has special needs and is not in village school.

so happy and glad we chose to try and have another baby after having dd(and her problems)it was nice to be able to relax a little and enjoy his babyhood especially as we really are happy with just two.

nice thread, thanks marsy xx

Hiya Chatee

I picked ds up from nursery this morning, and his painting was on the wall. He drew me, and I only wish I looked like that (very slim etc)!!

Marsy, you told me to come here and chat..... where are you?!!

Applying for school..........now thats scary, it doesn't seem that long ago that he was that skinny thing in an incubator.

I have begun to complete the online application, but have yet to fully complete and submit.

I am worried that DS1 will look so small compared to the other children, he is only in 12-18 month trousers!!!!!!!!
