oogggs - It was my boss who told me not to worry about coming back to work "for a little while" He knew that I would want a few months off. (although he's hinted that we should be having that conversation soon)And tbh I didn't know how I would feel after W was born. I had no intention of returning to work after I had J.

evening all

Another busy day here! Did some unplanned bulk cooking because our Tesco actually had aubergines in !! But also had an afternoon of interviews for the new youthworkers we're hoping to get to replace the ones that got married on saturday and are leaving. It's been really nice to meet some people and talk 'shop' for a bit rather than babies T tagged along all day and was a little angel asleep in his pushchair or grinning and giggling at everyone, especially the female candidate little charmer !!

elkie - lol at the moment you guessed! I was visiting friends and at breakfast felt really sick and ran for the loo. Wasn't actually sick but thought maybe?? By the evening I was puking 24/7 and thought I had a sick bug!! Hope your trip to the office was succesful!

at all those trying the recipes! Not had chance to have a go at the yogurt cake yet!! AND at all those getting to the cinema! I want to go!!! But no mummy&baby showings round here and no available people to babysit

Katy not caught up on the mozhe thread yet tonight but at them picking on the name Tristan It's lovely!

Ange - what an awful night! Hope you managed to grap a sleep today.

Norma - poor Erin! Hope her little feet heal up ok!

SOKL - fantastic about extra member of staff holding K for you!!

Runny at overenthusiastic FIl in the garden! Hope you manage to sort it without having to skimp all summer

octo - lol at msn crash! I am beginning to think I need to give it a try

Joma at interview! Sounds perfect for you lady! Hope you get it we'll all cross our fingers for you!!

night runny

Eca, can't you just take T with you to cinema? I took Matthew to see Shrek 3rd at a normal weekend screening and Joe came with us, no-one seemed bothered

night runny - was it something I said

oooh, joma, didn't know you could do that!! May still have probs with the noise though. T started screaming at the wedding when the band started.

on the work thing - there's a managers job coming up on the youthwork project I was on and I WANT IT!!!! 10hrs a week & could arrange childcare with dh or take T along. Would prob start september.

I didn't ask them tbh, I just decided that I'd go, although I did take Matthews dad with me so I could leave if I needed to. Joe loved it! stared at the screen, only got unsettled once, when he needed a feed, so I fed him while I watched

I have taken my babies to the cinema to non parents and babies showings. One cinema would not let me take DD into Bridget Jones - The Edge Of Reason because she was not over 15, she was about 6 weeks at the time!!!!

good point WCL, the law does mean that they can't go into anything they are too young for, Shrek was PG, don't know what HP is?

lol at the thought of Joe enjoying the big screen! And I though the baby gym was over stimulating T

Just popping in quickly before dh kicks me off for the night... HP is a 12 I think? A friend told me they can't show anything higher than that at parent/baby screenings...

Night all

ROFL WCL at you trying to get dd into a 15 at 6weeks!!!

oooggs - yes it would be ideal! The only sticky issue is dh is the one sorting the job out - advertising/interviewing - as he is working on the project and we don't want to look like we're stitching it up for me IYSWM!! Although i would obviously be the best person for the job

Pesha · 17/07/2007 21:04

Hiya loves.

Eca, do you have a thing for aubergines then!? Did make me laugh!!

Katy, one of my nephews is Trystan, and I think it is a lovely name. They call him Tiffy.

Elkie, meant to say earlier that B is 4, so can help with some things with K, and does when she wants to!

Ooogs, I am going back to work in December, and have applied for a place at the nursery that B will be leaving in September (the preschool bit is upstairs). I am extremely lucky in that I only work 15 hours a week, and they don't mind when I do the hours, as long as the job gets done. I have been doing some work from home, and then emailing our Finance Manager a record of the hours I have done, and getting paid via the KIT route, which is fab.

Hi wcl, runny, bumble and others I haven't mentioned, and welcome back Pesha. How was your holiday lovely?
