I am just glad I did not arrange an outdoors party for my DDs party. It's the middle of July and the weather is pants!

Evening all - manic day here - school run, shopping at the Mall, breastfeeding group, school run, pick up nephew, home, dinner, bed ..... lalalalalalalala I am going mad!

My sister and nephew are over from the states - staying at various places - here tonight and then all next week.

I succumbed to Monsoon I'm afraid - bought the boys 4 tops each with emroidery on - very cute - but thats all they'll need really as they wear uniform to school everyday - just need to get them some soft trousers/tracksuit bottoms and we're done for the winter. Also got uniform 3 for 2 in M&S which is great - also noticed that they do schoolshoes for £14 - so will be getting them there this year. It is dawning on me how much they are going to cost me as they get bigger! Luckily we have passed most stuff down but Ted is catching up height and feet wise with Stan and I think he may overtake him soon. Most of Ernies stuff is handed down (from me to my sister and back again!)

I bought a highchair in John Lewis clearance sale - its a Kuster - same idea as Tripp trapp but a more modern design - it also has a soft seat and baby seat which go on which is cool. Was reduced to £60 which is a lot less than a tripp trapp even on ebay.

Nothing bought for myself though

Maveta - I think I will be opting for fuzzis in the next size nappies. I wonder whether you will make any money at all with a 20% VAT - thats a huge chunk of your profit - unless you bump up the price at point of sale.

Need to go put Ted to bed then can relax.

All the meet ups sound great.

CD - glad birthday is going well - enjoy your night out.

Hope you all have a good evening .

opps did a post on old thread! try again...

Happy birthday to CD and SOKL! I hope you both have lovely evenings!

Have the baby firmly stuck to me as she tries to consume magnificent amounts of milk - it must be a growth spurt or she has become addicted!

Going to unlatch and get the other 2 down - it is mummy time !

ooggs, friends of ours used something like that with one of those seats that clip onto the table/worktop. Haven't used one myself though.

DH has booked a long weekend so we are off exploring tomorrow. I have no idea where we are going but was sent out to get enough picnic stuff to last the day and am to pack the car tonight for an early start tomorrow.
Really looking forward to seeing some big hills and maybe some waves.

S has been really unsettled again he keeps feeding little and often and I am struggling to get him to take a long feed. I have ended up with a blistered nip - ouch!

Wow weeonion - trekking with baby, I am v. impressed

OUCH at blisters on nipples! Very sore, hope you´ve got something you can put on it..

Octo - yeah I know, I´m having to look into a lot of numbers etc to see if it´s actually going to be worthwhile. Am also looking into sourcing some things direct which would earn more but turns the whole thing into a bigger venture than I at first intended so... hmmm.. my wonderoo arrived today and I.LOVE.IT! So cute.

oops nappy change, back soon x

Morning all

Danny keeps giving us the most gorgeous smiles until I get the camera out (well, actually it's a phone) and then he hides or scowls. Think he's getting camera shy?

Today is the dreaded first jabs day, I'm getting nervous for my baby.

Morning all. Feeling sorry for myself this morning as I have woken up with a cold Just want to go back to bed, but cant!

Maveta, thanks for posting your yogurt cake recipe. Will have a go at that. Can I get in on the emails for recipes please? I have a nice choc chip muffin recipe which is delicious so here it is..........

275g plain flour
1 tbsp baking powder
115g caster sugar
1 egg
250mls buttermilk
60mls sunflower oil
1 pack of choc chips or 150g raspberries (or half and half!)

Mix flour, baking powder and sugar in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, mix egg, buttermilk and sunflower oil.
Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and mix quickly together.
Add choc chips or raspberries.
Spoon mixture into 12 muffin cases and bake for 15 - 20 minutes at 200 degrees. YUM!!
