Formula feeding... Is this normal?

Hi FTM looking for some advice.
My LO is nine weeks old, from birth was on aptimal... He became constipated and the milk was very grainy and lumps would be found in the teet of his bottle so I changed to cow and gate after seeking advice.
He's taken well to the change, the formula is much smoother.
However, as I'm feeding him he is literally pooing before finishing the bottle (sorry if tmi) and when he's a little sick it really smells of sick.
He isn't distressed and he is still only waking once in the night I just want to know is this normal, are some babies just poo and vomit machines or could this milk not be agreeing with him.
Any advice would be fab x

It sounds fine. I BF and they both pooed during feeding. Feeding just stimulates the bowels. Milk vomit does smell of sick, all totally normal.

Thanks for your reply, deep down I'm thinking this is normal but it's nice to hear someone else's experiences.

I would say completely normal !

During every feed when little one was a tiny and upto solids at 6 months would guarantee poo during every feed !
Even now on solids will poo during or within 20 minutes of finishing every meal Smile x

Hi we tried Aptimal and Cow & Gate but neither really agreed with LO. She got stomach cramps, wind and constipation. We actually changed again to Hipp Organic and found this great- much more gentle on the stomach, normal poos once a day and a happier baby!
