Wasn't sure what thread to post on so did both :)

High chair we have the ikea. It's plain and easy to clean and sure within 6mths will be on booster chair at table with us

Lol at changing sheets. The washing fairy does ours. Didn't you know

We have the towe tipped sippy cup which dd has water from. Sucks it swallows some and dribbles rest out

And repeat

Havnt given fruit yet. Want her used to veggies. I cook a veg a day and then freeze into ice cubes tho as dd now has 8 cubes a meal , we swapped to small pots. Fill freeze and decant into freezer bag

So she has lord or bags of frozen veg

Nappies. In size 4. Have been few weeks. Was 19lbs last wi. Will be weighed next week. Prob be 20/21

Purple - the CMPA post was by 100years and the paragraph was:

I feel very behind with DS, he doesn't sit himself up yet and doesn't really roll over much (he has done so I know he can do it, I just think he doesn't want to!). We sat him in his seat today just to see what he thought of it and he cried then stared at the dog as if to ask why he wasn't helping him to escape the evil seat!

Do you all give mushed up veg or do you give them chunks to chew on?

Blondes Any experience of ear infections? They were mentioned in a sleep book I've been reading and we are wondering if DS might have one as he's had a few of the symptoms on the list (Dr Google diagnosis! )

If it's any consolation, DS doesn't roll either! My theory is that it's hard for him because he's so damn heavy (9.2kg/20lbs when weighed at 5 months)
He has rolled from back to front a few times but mostly accidentally and he doesn't seem bothered about doing it again... he's not a fan of tummy time so I haven't made him do it as much as I probably should
I guess they all learn at their own pace, easier said than done but try not to worry about your DS too much.

Ha, Name, my DS isn't a huge fan of tummy time either and I think that's why he learnt to roll front to back so well! We do that a few times and then I give up!

I don't generally worry too much. He was two weeks early (should've been an April baby) so has always seemed a little behind but it's mostly me - I'm seeing all your posts about sippy cups and feeding solids but I'm totally not prepared for that yet!

DD loves tummy time. Does it pretty much every day, she's mastered the backwards commando crawl lol. Has sat up independently for a few mins a couple of times but then spots something she wants and falls over in what direction the toys in.

She's just squeaked for a feed. Had 5oz out of 6 which is fab as she didn't have a lot today. She's a bit on the warm side in her sleeping bag so I've opened a couple of the buttons round the top to let a bit of air circulate.

Ah don't worry we have literally tried giving him food ONCE and that was the other day. We're not really prepared with equipment etc so we'll probably leave it for a bit longer. Official advice is to wait until 6 months anyway. DS will be 6 months on 10th September but was 11 days late (and is huge as I said) which was why we tried something a bit early. Not in any rush though.

We've only tried baby porridge a couple of times and she wasn't interested so gonna wait a couple more weeks and see if she fancies anything

I've just done things the same way I did ten years ago with my first . The guidelines have changed a lot but my eldest is healthy and fit and eats well so I just did the same again .
There is literally no right or wrong , just whatever works for you and your family .
I think DD eating food early has benefitted her a lot as she was very sickly and has definitely chubbed up since weaning which I am glad about .

Oh ok, I feel better knowing that we're not as far behind as I first thought!

We bought an ingenuity booster seat for when we start weaning. I imagine I'll be doing a lot of it on my own so preferred the idea of his seat being on the ground to maybe reduce the mess a bit. Probably being a bit optimistic there. DS isn't 6 months til the end of September and we're hopefully going away then so probably won't try solids until after.

DS did exactly the same with the piece of cooked carrot we gave him! Licked it and pulled a funny face Also offered him a spoonful of mashed up carrot but he wasn't interested in that at all. I guess he chews everything so it probably comes more easily for him to chew on it rather than swallowing a spoonful... but he's not going to eat much that way!

hugh she's got a very husky/dry throat. When she cries she's just squeaking she's going red in the face with the amount of effort it's taking just to make a little bit of noise. My OH says it's like me when I was in labour. I'd lost my voice a couple of days earlier so in my head I was screaming but no sound was coming out. I could only nod or shake my head if I was asked a question

Don't mind at all coupester! purple it was indeed me and I'm happy to answer any questions you have to best of my ability - have had cmpa my whole life although only got a diagnosis in the last 12 years as when I was growing up it wasn't so well recognised. I literally can't even have trace amounts, it's a total pain. Really hoping my DD doesn't have it but going to be very very careful with weaning just in case.

Gonna go back and read - you've all been very chatty today!

DD woke at 4 for a feed then had the change her dirty nappy. Finally got her back to sleep at 5 then she woke at 6:15 been up since. She's not had her breakfast bottle yet as she had 4oz at 4 so I doubt she will have any of it yet
