Our babies are teething, screaming and generally not sleeping, but we're still JS-ing - it's Just Mumming 10!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th Just Mumming thread...following the trials and tribulations of our babies, following the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 56th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

The previous Just Mumming thread is HERE

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

ZylaB, baby H who is 11 months old later this week!! It's gone so fast and she's loevly :). She has been a bit better with sleep the last 2 nights as well, a mixture of her feeling better, me making sure no naps are taken after 3.30/4pm and having a snack before teeth brushing and bed to make sure she's not harry I think!

Hurray for new Fred La

We've still got a poorly boy. I've sat in the bathroom with the shower running, I put the plug in and a spoonful of Vicks in the water. His breathing is a bit easier, I'll do it again later. Hopefully he'll sleep in his crib tonight and I'll get some sleep

Aww poor B purple hot steamy bathrooms are ace though. Last cold H had we had to let her sleep on us for a while so she was upright as she was so snotty lying down chocked her. It's so hard for them!

Hiya!

La, mum to 'B' - MiniLa, 5 months.

Purple sorry to hear he's poorly :(. I put tissues with Olbas oil in the pockets of B's snuzpod to help him breathe. Have you got an aspirator? It's brutal but helped us. It's horrible when they can't breathe :( We got to the point at Christmas where we just had to take it turns to hold him upright because we couldn't put him down as he couldn't breathe lying down.

Glad H is sleeping better zyla! LOVED your end of thread post!

So glad the party was good popz! C'mon and get on JSing with number 2 - you know you want to !!!

I use metanium for B's butt - he gets seriously red bum crack and it sorts it right out.

pixie that's fantastic news about R being a bit better! Envious of your lovely long sleep - we're averaging about 1.5 hours at a time here. Uggg...

I change poos immediately and check every 2 hours as B does wet farts a lot. His poos are announced with epic loudness, but the farts are stealthy and can make his bum sore. At night I layer up the barrier cream for bedtime and he goes through to 7am in same nappy unless he poos (rare). He's been pooing 5am the last week though - grr...

I cried every day for 2 weeks at 4pm - mostly about my cats. I was sad that I didn't get to cuddle my cats anymore. Then I cried for another 2 months about lack of sleep.

JC since having a baby I'm a farting beast. Bf makes me fart for some reason Blush

Just checking in :)

Cookie mum to 'E' almost 17 months tonight he snuggled into me at bed time it was lush I didn't want to put him down!!

We don't change E now through the night, when he was dinky we had lots of leaks when we originally stopped changing him as the quantity of milk he was having was too much for the nappies Blush luckily now that he doesn't have milk at night he doesn't really leak. Although he still does occasionally!

Oh ffs. We've paid a fortune to be connected to fibre optic broadband and it's shite and has just lost my post. Grrrr.

Little llama is 4 months old. Currently in grips of sleep regression so apologies for my typos but I'm trashed!

Pis, mum to TeenPis (14) and BabyPis (9 months).

First day back at work for me and first day at nursery for BabyPis. TeenPis also got up early and walked to school but it was an inset day Grin it seemed to go ok. She apparently cried when any of the staff walked out of the room which sounds pretty standard. She ate lots and slept pretty well and played a lot. We went shopping after I picked her up so had a quick supper, bath, boob and bed when we got home. She went straight to sleep and I haven't heard a peep out of her. I should be asleep myself as I'm up at 6am tomorrow but I'm kind of waiting for her to wake up!

Just took my dressing gown off and remembered I haven't actually changed into pyjamas yet. Scrambled brain. Lucky I've had a fairly easy return to work so far. I get to lock myself in a room for half an hour a day to express. If I can figure out the hair bobble trick to make the pump hands free I might be able to catch zzzzs at the same time.

Oh no La! I check baby pud is still breathing all the time.

Both cats were a bit traumatised when we brought P home from hospital. They hadn't seen me for 3 days and I was cuddling something new instead of them!! Big cat still quite wary but small cat is so sweet. If P is crying Eris will come and sit next to her and meow at us as if to say fix it!

Zyla your last post made me laugh while holding a sleeping baby!! Very bad!!

JC, hope you get some sleep tonight. (That goes for everyone else too!)

Well done pis on first day back. What's the hair bobble trick?

Pud my cat is obsessed with me the moment I put ds down in the evening. He waits outside the bedroom and clambers all over me as soon as I come out. Quite sweet but quite annoying too!

Night everyone.

Mummy to 16 day old baby G

Hope B got back off to sleep quickly for you after the accidental wake up!

I had a second degree tear. Phoned the midwife this morning who said to go to GP so got to phone them in the morning for an appointment as there weren't any left yesterday.

Just had 2 and a bit hours sleep whilst DP had G so the night has been set up well at least. Only 6 more hours till I can pass her back Smile

Woah new Fred!
Toast, mum to MelbaToast for almost 4 months! Time flies!

Just waiting for Melba to be in a deep sleep so I can turn her head- she has a bit of a flat patch as always sleeps with head on one side so I try to stealth turn it the other way when she's asleep. She woke at 1.30am, has been sleeping until 4/5am recently so a bit annoyed she woke up, but we are starting leap 3 today apparently so could be that. Or just because she's a baby! Also having third set of jabs today... Not looking forward to the fall-out later!

Our cat likes to sit on my lap whilst I'm feeding Melba. I feel so bad that I'm constantly pushing her off me! I wish she would learn to sit beside me instead of on me.

Off to read the end of the last fred Smile

Oh la your poor thing. Hope you managed to get back to sleep after hosing him down. We were up at 5:35 yet again. He seems programmed to get up then. He's now in his baby gym and I'm on sofa eating cereal with cat on my shoulder.

Yeah we seem to be same at the moment. I've been holding him since the sick as its only way he'll sleep.

Really hope it's a phase!

Here you are!

Dulcet, mum to J, just gone 5.5mnths. (Tried to autocorrect my name to sucker then. That figures!)

Quick check in now BabyD is finally napping. The bugger tried to start the day at 4.30am but then has the cheek to refuse naps. I really thought I was getting somewhere with daytime sleep but he's got other ideas.

Pleased nursery went well pis. Was she happy to see you? I've been thinking about going back about 10 mnths but no idea what he will be like then. And a bit worried about being judged for bit taking the year - did anyone say anything to you?

Cat in the shoulder essie. Sounds like a delicate balanced situation.

Good luck with jabs today toast. Hope you have some sofa and boob time pencilled in for later!

I know there's no guarantee of better sleep when they are eating la but still secretly hoping!

J may have tried a bit of my banana yesterday. Don't think he really swallowed any but he gave it a good gumming!

Also strange non baby related question. Just been for annual smear (after lletz procedure 6yrs ago) and told i dont need one as i only need them every 3 yrs now as they look for more things during smear now. Despite been told when i had procedure i would need one every year for 10 years. Anyone know if this is right?

Not sure, sorry Kbb.

Day 9 in the big pud house. Baby pud has been "on boob' since yesterday lunchtime. I presume this is in preparation for the day 10 growth spurt?!

Sorry to hear of sleepless babies! We had more wake ups than usual too.

I'm going back at 10 months dulcet officially, but with the annual leave it becomes just over 11 months. Is that what you mean? Or 10 months including annual leave? I'm hoping to go back part time, not quite sure what we can afford yet so we actually DH because I'm crap need to do the sums soon and work it out. I so don't want to think about it yet but feel like I should now Christmas is over. And I suppose if I have a return date then at least it's sorted.

Kbb sorry I don't know either.

Hope you're all having a good Tuesday. Ours isn't the best- jabs done, so big screams. I feel sorry for the nurse, I would hate making babies scream all day! And I think the leap has started on time, Melba was pretty grouchy this morning too. All snuggled up on the sofa now with Netflix, snacks for me and boob for Melba when she wakes up.

Hoping to go see Star Wars at baby cinema tomorrow morning, if we have an ok night tonight.

Oh blimey pud she likes her boob! Pretty normal I'm afraid. Get yourself a jug of water, some chocolate and a box set. It's not forever. I'm sitting with B asleep on me wondering how much longer he'll do this for. He's so big now. I'll be sad when I no longer get baby sleepy cuddles. time for a new baby then
