Thanks Juni.

Name: Wil
Children: 2 energy suckers beautiful girls
Age: Too old to cope with these sleepless nights.

Zyla I truly think all travel cots are much of a muchness. Pretty much all have the same design. We have never bought a mattress for ours but have only used it for one or two nights at a time. Probably would for a whole week and if you think you'll get a lot of use out of it. Don't they provide cots on the ship if you ask?

We just have the icandy so can't help you with buggies. Good idea to have a small one for holidays though.

Hayfever is awful tonight. Can't breathe at all Sad .

Thanks for the thread juni

zyla with one little one, H who is 20 weeks and so grown up all of a sudden!
Age: 37 so need to get moving IF we decide we want another! (Speaking of which, had results back from hospital, the pre eclampsia didn't set off any kidney problems, they're normal, which as a diabetic for this long is ace! So that's not a reason to stick at one, if I'd had the start of issues we would have called it a day. So now it's money, we can afford 2 kids, but..of we keep it at H mrZ wants to send her to a private secondary school (not boarding), if we had another we couldn't afford it for both. I keep saying we both went to comps and are fine! But he wants to do it for her... Hmm

juni thanks, will look at both of your suggestions!

The ships DO provide travel cots wil but I don't know what they've been cleaned with if they get messed up, would be happier with one of our own. I also want to use it as a baby prison when she's toddling so I can go to the loo/make food etc, so we do want one! Think we will just have to go for a mattress, try and get a foldable one.

With regards to buggies I've been browsing and quite like the look of the baby jogger City mini zip, folds down loads! May have to have a look at h&m. Still open to recommendations though, juni you're recommmending baby joggers, yes?

zyla if you look up hauck dream & play on amazon the mattress sones up as frequently bought with. My tank buggy is Silver Cross but like that particular baby jogger for quick trips. it is long though & doesn't fit well in my car.

Am glad boobs amend to become more watery in the heat but holy hell. Not ideal with a propensity to oversupply. Good job I never gave up on breast pads.

She's finally asleep. Smile

One of the cats has decided to bugger off out; we keep them in at night and usually they all mooch back in of their own accord, but he has decided not to.
Times like these I regret naming him after large dragon from a Tolkien book. You feel a right twat shouting it from the kitchen step,...

We have a Hauck travel cot - not sure which one. It was in the Aldi baby event. We're off on holiday in August - not too far but we will be limited as to how much we can take so the travel cot may not come with us. There's a cot in the accomodation. I'm wondering if I take the Sleepyhead, will that be enough separation from an unknown mattress...? I'm not convinced I want to take a pram either however it may be a useful vehicle for sneaking extra luggage with us.

Ah that would explain why I look like I've had a boobjob Juni! Didn't realise that happened - makes sense though.

Aww Wil hope you get some relief soon. MrPis suffers quite badly. We had a half hour conversation earlier on the phone which consisted of five minutes talking and twenty five minutes of sneezes and bless yous.

We've got the Dream and Play too Zy Its decent enough for the price. Got a fold up mattress off Amazon to go with it which is a bit of a PITA but would probably be fine just for a week or so. MiniPopz sleeps in it full time in our room at the moment as he's too big for the bednest and still feeds in the night so I don't want to put him in his own room yet (lazy).

That's good Tee .... I didn't look down there for AGES. I think I made DH look first actually Blush haha!

It's still 29 degrees. Faaaaark. Mini has been crashed out since 8 though Shock

Thanks for the recommendations guys :)

tee are you standing at the door shouting smug??! Grin

My boobs are also bigger at the mo! h woke up 3 hours after bed last night crying, turns out she was ravenous, which I suspect was actually thirsty, poor little thing. I love that I bf her, but it'll be easier when she can drink water when it's hot, all I seem to be doing this week is offering boob to make sure she's not dehydrated!

Welcome rm.

Think the water is just for formula fed babies Cookie.

I have also been feeding non-stop for 24 hours. It's made me bloody thirsty - need ice lollies.

You're all such good mums. have never even thought twice about using a travel cot/mattress at hotels. Sometimes I'm a little too blase about things I think.

We have a roller here! Left her on her back and came back to find her on her tummy looking very chuffed with herself.

Hi everyone

Age-29
Pests 2- DS aged 2 weeks and DD 13 months
I don't have much to add at the moment except I'm sooooo tired. I'm tired of not being able to sleep next to DP because one of us is up with DS and wants to give the other one a half decent nights sleep. I'm sick of being too tired to dtd. Yes I had a c section 2 weeks ago but DP (and me) are both frustrated beyond belief. I bought some condoms before. I think we'll be using those later. He's not fond of lonely wanks and isn't all that keen on blow jobs either. Wanted to get the implant fitted tonight but couldn't as Dp wasn't back from work to look after the kids so I could go to the docs.
My parents are going to babysit next week at some point though so me and DP can go out and have a meal or something that doesn't involve the kids. We love our children but I don't half miss being able to just chill and hang out together. For people who don't know we were only together 2 weeks before I got caught pregnant with Dd and then I've had a DS in quick succession. Our 2 year anniversary isn't until the end of this month! We've done a lot in 2 years! 2 kids and got engaged! We haven't even celebrated our engagement yet either.

Aha Pixie! That probably explains you missing the sexy times! Me and MrPopz have been together 11 years this Christmas so I can take him or leave him at the moment tbh!!

Welcome rm Smile Hope you're enjoying your little squish x

Hooray for rolling microWil! I say hooray, I spent a couple of weeks cursing the day I ever encouraged miniPopz to roll... Thankfully he's figured out how to roll back now.

6 months old today! Where's the time gone. Crazy. Cooled down a lot today thank goodness.

Haha I'm with you Popz, we're long-timers too.
She can't roll in the crib at least as there's no space so won't have to worry about that.

That's probably it R lol. They do say if your relationship can cope with having kids then it'll probably last. Don't get me wrong he drives me insane most of the time but I wouldn't be without him now. Good on getting to 11 years R! Hope me and OH stay together a long time Smile

Dummies are the only thing I sterilise frequently so rather than cracking out the massive microwave jobbie I pop them in a pan of boiling water for five mins. If you do the same, set a timer.... On the plus side, I know the smoke alarms work. On the downside the house stinks of burning plastic, the only dummy in the house is the one in her bed and neither child is apparently woken by smoke alarms.
