Hello! I'm not there yet. Due last Wednesday though, so unless they want to induce over the BH weekend she should hopefully be an April rather than May baby, so am marking my place :-)

Can I join?

My first DC was born 4 April but it feels like he's been here forever!

DH and I have no idea what we're doing - I just wave a boob in his direction when he cries, or someone changes him if that doesn't work...

Please tell me I'm not the only one winging it!

Oh my baby girl was born on 11/04. 6 days over due.

Can't believe she is 2 weeks old.

This is my second (first was a boy). Very strange being back at the tiny baby stage.

Thanks cannott just been having a read back of the antenatal thread. It's reassuring to see that I'm not the only one struggling with bfing.
Fx for you light
Hi last congratulations on your arrival! I have never felt as clueless as I have the last 2 and a half weeks. I've been really up and down with bfing, felt really unhappy with my performance yesterday but trying to remember that on Wednesday the health visitor was here and I told her I had no concerns. I've been getting blocked ducts which are horrid and painful and make me lose confidence in my latch.
My plan of action is to muddle and then go to a support group tomorrow morning. It's so tempting to give up at times though.

hello everyone!!

Ds was born on the 7th April, so 3 weeks old today. He has colic so cries a lot and finds it hard to sleep. Just keep telling myself it's a phase and it will pass...

Congratulations wendle - I saw your good news on the antenatal thread. Glad the birth went well.

The antenatal thread was full so I thought I'd come over here and let you know baby Churros was born on Monday. She's a beautiful baby girl and weighed 8lb9. Her birth couldn't have been more different to DS's drawn out, intervention full birth! She came very quickly in the birth pool. I arrived at the birth centre about 8.30pm and was examined at 4cm and then she was born at 9.22pm! We were discharged the next morning and have been settling in at home. Small 2nd degree tear that is a little sore but nothing compared to the pain of last time.

She's currently on all night, non-stop feeding frenzies! Tell me this stops soon? I can't remember much about DS as a newborn! Breastfeeding going ok but a bit sore.

Overall I'm still a bit shocked she is here and how well the birth went, and absolutely in love.

cannot hope all went ok with induction. Can't wait to hear your news.

Anything happening light?

Hope the rest of you are going well!

LightTripper · 02/05/2014 19:06

Congratulations churros! Glad it went more smoothly this time!

Still not much sign of movement, though she has stayed very active and I have felt a bit more downward pressure today, so I'm hoping maybe that's an early sign of something! If not I'll just do the induction on Tuesday... Que sera sera :-)
