Well done csws. I'm so impressed you have time to be bothered to do this for us!!

Well, I took the plunge - no pun intended- and went in the pool with ds1 today. Swimmming cossie looks terrible, cellulite loooks even worse, but after 10 mins of crying, he loved it

Chloe55 Thu 18-May-06 19:22:55

Cheers CSWS.

Have upped ds formula by an ounce and he wolfed it down so hopefully, fingers crossed, he sleeps a little longer tonight!

TheFlameWhoWasAfraidOfTheDark Thu 18-May-06 20:06:54

Sorry to crash ladies but if any of you are members of the Boots Parenting Club, please see my plea for a copy of this month's 0-3 month magazine - little DD2 (now 8 months) is in it and I'd love a copy

Congratulations to you all. Enjoy

Rory pooed in the bath tonight.

With a baby and a potty training toddler I feel like I shovel shite all day!

PS If any of you do have a copy, please CAT me or post on my 'wanted' thread rather than here, so that I don't have to lurk

Yay, a new thread. I've lost count of how many we have actually had since antenatal!!!

I have bought some baby food thingys tonight, not intending to wean yet but I'm one of those annoying people that likes to prepare!! It's great, I got baby porridge, banana dessert and a few other Heinz Organiz packs. I dont want to buy the jars of food as I want to cook and freeze once DS starts eating more. I had some vouchers so thought I would use them whilst shopping.

Exercise - I have been walking most days and my SIL is 26 weeks pregnant and does house cleaning and needs help so for the past 4 weeks I have been helping her for 4 hours on a Wednesday and this week I'm starting a few hours on the Friday. I will find another office job around August but this gives me a bit of extra cash and I sweat so much it must do me good although still have about 9lbs to lose to get down to pre-pregnancy weight. I have been invited out to an old work reunion in London in June and I'm dreading it, I'm about 2 stone heavier than I was when I left, flabby and to socialise with loads of "career" girls is going to be strange. Perhaps I should clean every day and sweat some more Ben comes with me too so it's quite nice.

Right I'm off to bed, dont know how it has got to 1am!!! Got baby group in morning so feel a knackered day coming up.

TheFlameWhoWasAfraidOfTheDark Fri 19-May-06 12:02:20

Oooh is that the answer 3K??? It does seem to follow - me, 2 babies, bombsite house = flabby... friend, 5 babies, tidy house = size 10.

Why do I see me staying flabby????

Long long long night - DS has a cold and was all snuffly so couldn't feed very well or suck his thumb Just been to collect my friend's son though, and the fresh air of the school run seems to have unbunged him, and he's had a decent feed and is now gurgling on my lap.

Goddaughter in hospital having her nose cauterised, so I'm on babysitting and sequin duties today (enjoying the sequins though). Cast comes off the other one's arm next week, dance exams a week Sunday, then maybe my life will settle!!! How is it that I have the activities and stress of a family of 7, but only 2 are mine????

Glad DS didn't have the jabs now he's poorly.

Anyone else finding that the name changes have taken easily (Especially NAO), but CSWS is still Tabs????

Afternoon girls.

Just been to music thing with dd1 and luckily dd2 slept. Dd1 had lunch and now sleeping and dd2 is asleep on the baby gym - so perhaps I can now have some time for me!

Dd2 has started waking more in the night - 3 times last night - has a quick feed and then falls asleep - perhaps I should just leave her but I can't go back to sleep if I can hear her sucking her hands! Hopefully, it is just a growth spurt. Not sure if she is really hungry but I automatically feed her as I don't want her to start crying and wake up dd1 and dp. Any advice?

Hope everyone is O.K.

Odd that isn't it flame? Think you would be flame forever too

How do people cope if they meet up in RL???? having to call any of you by a real name would seem wrong

My ds3 has cold too, sounds like we had similar nights, poor little things happy now tho, likes looking at screen With you on the flab and bombsite house too maybe if I have another one I'll magicly become a good housewife and organised.

damewashalot Fri 19-May-06 12:22:14

Put your head under the pillow and hope she settles

hotmama Fri 19-May-06 12:41:29

I think I may try leaving her over the weekend - I'll let you know how I get on.

She is feeding well enough during the day and often has a dreamfeed when I go to bed - methinks she just wants a cuddle and not a feed and she goes to sleep very quickly -but I am getting increasingly knackered and would like some more sleep.

TheFlameWhoWasAfraidOfTheDark Fri 19-May-06 12:43:22

What does she sleep in?

Is it something that you could put in the hallway for the night? I know it would mean slightly more walking for any night feeds, but you could see then if she actually needs you or is just squeaking.

DS is squeaking at the moment - he is right on the edge of sleep

hotmama Fri 19-May-06 12:47:03

Dd2 is in a drop sided cot next to me - so it easy for me to drag her in and feed - means I don't have to get out of bed.

I suppose I could try putting her in her cotbed in her room with the baby monitor on - she sleeps there during the day - I just think she is too young to go by herself. I didn't move dd1 until she was sleeping through.

I expect to feed her during the night as most bf babies do want feeding - it's just the amount of times and they seem to be increasing not reducing!

damewashalot Fri 19-May-06 12:48:48

Sorry that wasn't too helpful, I do get woken by squeaks etc in the night but guess being no3 I have reached the point that I don't get out of bed unless I have to, I might go fix covers and give a rock but he generaly goes off again

CantSleepWontSleep Fri 19-May-06 14:32:11

damewashalot - I'm Tabs in RL too, so it's easy if you meet me! I have a good friend from another forum though who I just can't stop calling by her screen name. Both DH and I have met her, but if ever I refer to her by her real name when talking to DH, he has no idea who I am on about!

Sorry, no ideas about not feeding in the night - guilty of the same thing almost always!

Afternoon ladies,

Well I had a better night last night. DH offered to get up to ds when he woke and guess what......he woke once at 3am for a feed! Bloody typical! But it is good. We have upped his feed by an ounce and it seems that might have helped, fingers crossed.

Hotmama - I would prob try and leave her to see if she goes back to sleep - if she isn't feeding much it might just be a habit now? Is it teething if she is always putting her fists in her mouth or do you just know this is one of her hunger signs? ds is teething at the moment and he does this a lot.

dewmeadow Fri 19-May-06 22:03:32

Where is everyone today/tonight?

Are people out having actual lives?

hotmama Fri 19-May-06 22:06:38

I'm here as the dd's are sleeping and dp is out socialising - now going to be watching Green Wing whilst mnetting - check me out with my multitasking!

TheFlameWhoWasAfraidOfTheDark Fri 19-May-06 22:53:53

Morning,
I keep reading and forgetting to post. I have nothing of interest to say. I so wish I was having a life.
DP is being particularly useless at the moment, and my best friends husband has left her for his pregnant girlfriend

Luckily, my girls are being lovely, and Boy is an absolute angel.
