Marking place. Sorry to hear about LOs and mums who are poorly. Hope the woolly mammoths help you get well soon!

We ventured out all day today into the city (Manchester), longest trip out as DH had an interview and the test of the day off, was blimin freezing! We're still waiting on details of the T&Cs of the job but fingers crossed they are good so he can go for it as sounds a good opportunity. We're both shattered so I'm about to get a few hours kip while he does late shift so i'll be on early hours!

Marking place too, all packed for airport tomorrow plan is to feed LO until he passes out and stays quiet. Feel sorry for DH he's going to miss him for a week while we up with my family but he couldn't come with due to work.

Have packed my fenugreek and breast pump I'm just not ready to give up yet even though he's now refusing the breast the majority of the time. DH says it's my decision and he's happy if I stop and I know I've done the best for him over the last 6 weeks but it's still such a tough decision.

Just caught up on the days news...sorry to hear about your LOs hernia YBR :(

I'm sitting here trying to decide whether or not to wake a sleeping DS Confused He is never asleep at this time, usually cluster feeding but we had his 8 week check today so we were at the GPs when he's usually napping. Worried if he sleeps now he's going to want to eat all night. I usually make it a rule never to wake him but I'm not sure. What would you do?

Had an interesting day; something's gone wrong with the boiler so there's no hot water, DP's car broke down & I managed to spill a bucket of water upstairs which is dripping through the ceilling in the living room >_< On the brightside I bought some nappies on ebay yesterday & they arrived this morning :)

Hiya guys

BTW, has anyone been catching Caprica on Sky1 ? (it's a prequel series to the American Battlestar Galactica series). It's kinda interesting and passes the time til the next series of Being Human gets going (I just cannot bring myself to watch actual standard daytime TV, it makes my brain leak out of my ears....)

BabyYBR has been clingy today - perhaps a result of this morning's Dr visit. The hernia doesn't appear to hurt or trouble her.

Hola! Just doing the post-Projectile vomit feed. Hope this one stays down!
Interesting day honey! not the greatest!
I have the silliest baby brain. Every day I leave the oven or the hob on. Dangerous!

My wooly mammoth is domesticated you know, though it has to be said that the litter tray is chuffing huge!Wink

Looks like we're staying put until Thursday, as every time they try to bump his o2 below 30% his sats drop. He's not got an NG line in any more though as the octopus doesn't like it and took it out. Twice >_< He's feeding we'll though, and is asleep now:)

I can't remember what else I tried to post earlier, but my phone/the Internet pixies keep eating my entries. They must be as hungry as me. Getting fed up of canteen food, though am grateful there is at least an on-site canteen that serves more than just panini and spuds.

Hope everyone has a good night. Februarytomorrow, new month and new start < stares pointedly at the octopus>

I am going to have to buy him a soft toy octopus, I live near a submarium, we'll hve to go visit the octopus there and buy a fluffy one:o

Evening!

Sorry for all those unwell/tired/grouchy, get well vibes for all.

Day 2 without Daddy VERY productive (maybe he should have gone back to work weeks ago?!)

Seb had his first bus journey. And slept through it. Parcel collected from post office (have posted pic of Seb in his Wedding outfit - managed to avoid the £55 outfit despite Oi's best efforts Grin).

Arrived at Ryhme time on time. Although Seb slept through it!

Walked home in a light snow fall. Seb slept through it....see the pattern?

As soon as we got home he started screaming for milk, so fed him and me, then loaded him back into the pram to walk to a friends house so she could have a birthday cuddle (her birthday not his clearly!). Tesco on the way home.

Daddy got home, put Seb into his brand new footie strip and matching trainers (honestly I never thought I'd see a man get that excited about baby clothes, but a replica baby grow and pair of addidas trainers has done the trick in our house) and although we had to watch the OTHER manchester team both results pleased DH.

Am assuming yesterdays pattern of screaming/feeding until midnight will continue. He then slept til 5.15 so if that happens again tonight I'll be very happy.

Quick question - milk spots, will they clear up on their own or should I be putting something on them? They have mostly appeared on the back of his neck (I think where his neck gets damp if he spits up whilst lying down IYSWIM).

Milk spots bugger off and appear randomly, you're best leaving them:(

lmf Lamaze has a touchy feelly octopus for newborns in bright colours. Bennybenbear has one and her LO really focusses on it and likes it. I've since seen it for sale at John Lewis and tesco.
Hey kitty, I tried. Grin
I'm now back in house-buying mode so there'll be no more shopping for me. Ohhh can we eat liver now? Nice cheap delicious teas are us! I've missed my liver dish, so has DH. Mmmmm offal! Grin

LittleMissFlustered · 31/01/2012 22:53

Boots used to do a lovely octopus too... Might go shopping when we're released:)

Enjoy the house-buying frenzy, and the liver:) With sausages, mash and onion gravy I presume?

Haddock for dh who has just said he's really tired as he trots off to the spare room for his third night of uninterrupted sleep (well apart from getting up with ds1 a couple of times. Honestly I nearly punched him.

To be fair he started a new job thus week so need to he on top firm but still I do not need to hear how much sleep he got

Had a mini weigh in for f yesterday and he's put on 90g in 4 days - is that about right?

God I hope he goes down ok I'm exhausted.

Can I have a haddock too please? 'D'H came home drunk, started talking about cot death and told me I'm not allowed to fall asleep in case Eva stops breathing. He stomped up to bed in a grump with me because he thought I wasn't taking his concerns seriously. The worst thing is he probably won't even remember in the morning.

hiya. glad octoboy's OK lmf though hope his sats pick up soon for you.

*Kitty+, lmf is right: just leave millk spots (i know the temptation to prod em!

seven what an arse: !!! If he does it again and you think it wouldnt make him angry/ aggressive (no point if it would incite a riot) you could tape him rantong on your mobile and play it back next day to him? ? I taped DH snoring loudly last night and he conceded I'm allowed to prod him to turn over when he sounds like a
Very loud snory thing.

Sigh, DS fell off boob again. Bloody night feeds. Oh well...

Hi all,

figgy I so sympathise with you on the bf, I stopped expressing on Monday and only put her on twice a day for about half an hour at most, morning and evening and I feel SO GUILTY :(

aethel, so with you on the daytime tv! Using netflix at the moment. Trying it out for a couple of months, useful when feeding so often!

LMF hope things continue to improve.

Feeling bit better, no temp at least. Unfortunately minimopsy chose today to be a grizzlebum, wouldn't feed properly, just little bits on and off all day (wasted so much formula having to discard practically full bottles!) and howled if I it her down so had to hold her all day. Also howled if I tried to lie down when holding her so I couldn't be in bed. Not great timing given how awful I was feeling. She finally went down at midnight but wad so noisy in her sleep I kept waking up. Then up again at half two but at least she seems to betaking a proper feed now, phew! Not feeling too fab so hope we get back to bed soon!!!

Hope you are all fast asleep and dreaming of cute woolly mammoths!
