Whoops posted on the old one before I saw the link, should be quicker at typing!

Lumpy I would ask the nursery to hold off with the jam sandwiches. All the other stuff doesn't sound very healthy either. Then I would try and wean him off sugar as it does sound like he is getting a sweet tooth.
Lucy has sandwiches with cheese spread most days and sometimes has tuna or egg mayo. She likes scrambled egg and omelettes. She doesn't like mash potato at all. Rice and pasta salads are quite good as well.

The extra hour today has shaken her today, she missed her naps and was asleep by 8.30 and in bed by 9.15. She usually goes about 10ish so not out too much, it will be tomorrow when it catches up with us

Ooh cinnamon I feel a pregnancy coming on! wink

I agree, that sounds like an awful lot of crap the nursery is feeding them lumps, I'd have to have a word if it were me.

newmum001 Sun 30-Oct-11 22:16:48

Cinnamon I've been feeling similar on and off for 2 weeks! Definately not pregnant but very icky feeling, achy bones, sickness and extremely tired and irritable but whatever is was seems to have gone now.

Dp has got a pretty severe abcess in his mouth, his face has swolen up like a balloon! He had to go to the emergency doctors who have given him 2 courses of antibiotics and told him if there is any change in the swelling he has to go straight to a&e! He hasn't slept for 3 days and can't eat or drink anything! They've told him not to lie down as if it pops then it can have pretty devastating results! Poor guy I really feel for him he's so fed up!

New thread! Ace, it's been on my mind too - glad you remembered to put the month & year in too, lumpy!

Aphra has eaten less over the past couple of days because of her vomiting virus on Friday (which DP has now got - nauseous rather than actively vomiting though). She's got very "flingy" with her food too, not just over the past few days but particularly noticeable then when she's hardly eaten anything. Still, she's always happy to feed from me and / or from the bottle of formula that DP gives her, so it's surely all right in the end. She eats more or less what we eat but is particularly keen on bread, pasta, her breakfast muesli, oatcake, hummus, and yoghurt (we've started making home made and flavouring it with plum jam that we made over the summer - how very WI of us!). It sounds pretty samey when written down like that, and it can be, but she normally has at least a bit of what we're having so there is some variety there.

Newmum, how horrible for your DP! hope he gets better very soon.

comixminx Mon 31-Oct-11 09:58:08

Had to dash as A was getting clingy and tired - meant to say a bit more about your DP's abcess, newmum. What are they planning on doing to it - can't they lance it or something? Surely it can't be just a case of waiting to see what happens, if it means he can't even lie down?

After talking about relationships the other day and how ours has got better, it's now got to the point where I feel like leaving. He's just got no respect for me, doesn't seem to care about my feelings on anything, doesn't support me, leaves me to do all the housework (the other day i left for work at 4pm and he expected me to bring in his washing when i got back at midnight), he will happily leave orlaith crying next to him for half an hour until I come in to sort it out, goes out without saying where he's going (but I went to thhe supermarket yesterday afternoon and didn't say bye to orlaith and he sent me a horrible text about it shock) we never cuddle or have sex anymore (it's been nearly 3 months since we last had sex!). It just feels like we're not in a relationship, we're just 2 people who have a child together and live together. sad

Sorry for the rant, just need to get it off my chest!

Marking! Hopefully any posters from the original thread might join us though no sign of them despite links at the end of every thread..... maybe too busy being pregnant again grin wink

lumpylumps Mon 31-Oct-11 13:02:36

Jacket tate & tuna mayo was a hit. Wonder what he'll do if i transfer the tuna into a sandwich!? He even ate a whole cherry tomato!

Beady I think you need to get pregnant! You seem to mention it a lot! grin

Saoirse I know exactly where you're coming from and I really feel for you! It's so hard, I was in the same boat as you very recently, some may think I'm out of line suggesting this but have you thought about going to your sisters flat for a couple of days! A few days apart might help to put things into perspective for you! Otherwise have you talked about what's going on? it is the most devastating thing to be going through and don't apologise for ranting, it's what we're here for! I hope you get the outcome that you want! Xx

lumpylumps Mon 31-Oct-11 20:01:26

Saoirse we're a bit like that too. I'm really having to try to look on dh as the man I fell in love with, not the bloke I live with. Your relationship and priorities change massively when you have a baby. We have "date nights" where we get the boys to bed then cook a nice meal or get a take away, have a bottle of wine & actually sit together on the same settee! I hope things pick up for you soon.

That sounds like a very sad situation saoirse86, it's so hard to comment on other peoples relationships but I'd say you need to seriously talk about things. Dh and I have our disagreements and he does at times leave luke more upset than I would so I end up sorting him but we talk a lot and cuddle a lot. I can't imagine having mine and his washing in the first place so I find that hard to comment on. I'm sorry you feel like leaving but does he realise things are that bad?

saoirse86 Mon 31-Oct-11 22:02:30

Well we ended up talking about this today, calmly for a change! We've agreed we don't actually want to split up and we've both been a bit selfish and need to do things for eachother a bit more. We also need to go out more (or at all) together. I was thinking of trying to get someone to look after Orlaith tomorrow as it's 2 years since we got engaged (and neither of us know when our anniversary of getting together was iykwim blush). I'm going to bed now so we can have a cuddle before we both fall asleep!

I feel a lot better now so thanks for all your comments, I can always count on you guys! smile

beaditAli Tue 01-Nov-11 09:04:17

lumpy I think I should too but somethings making me wait til spring confused
saoirse glad you had a chat with DP and hopefully it's the start of a new lease of life for your relationship. smile
Went to a soft play place with an indoor bouncy castle yesterday.....Oh my! I could live there! So, so, so much fun........ Jack was peeing himself laughing (probably literally) heeee heeee heeee

cinnamongreyhound Tue 01-Nov-11 09:28:42

Maybe you want a Christmas baby beaditAli?

Glad you have talked it through Saoirse86, sounds like you can move forward now. Keep us updated how things are going smile

beaditAli Tue 01-Nov-11 11:42:12

cinnamon people keep telling me that Christmas is a rubbish time to have a birthday cos you have to wait all year for presents........ would that really bother a child?? So many things to celebrate throughout the year anyway....?
Also, if we tried now and took say a month then DC2 could be born on Jack's 2nd birthday! smile
Not really bothered about time of year etc I just think I decided March in my mind a while ago and it seems to have stuck. Also, not sure I can bothered to make an effort to ahem before then blush wink
Pushchair boredom from me again: any thoughts on the Hauck Capri? For those that can be bothered getting involved in my obsession! grin

cinnamongreyhound Tue 01-Nov-11 14:33:56

I have a friend who's little boy is a Christmas day baby, can you imagine being in labour on Christmas Day though?!? She has a party for him in June so he gets presents from his friends then. My Dad's birthday is 27th Dec and he doesn't mind I think it depends on the effort your parents make. DH was due Christmas day but was born 27th Jan!!!!! He doesn't like it, says everyone's run out of money and can't be bothered to buy nice presents! With ds1 we had planned to stop trying in March so he wouldn't be born at Christmas but I was desparate for a baby by then so didn't. Took another 4 months after that so he's an April baby!

Also like to say you lot make me feel like a nympho!

lumpylumps Tue 01-Nov-11 15:59:44

Beady thats what I did!!! There's 2 years 2 weeks & 8.5 hours between my two!! people say I must like November!!! there was only a week between their due dates! I know a few people born around Christmas. It wouldn't bother me. I was just so pleased to be pregnant & have a baby I couldn't care a less what time of year it was born!! Having said that I once got my neice who's birthday is boxing day a single roller boot for christmas. Can you guess what her birthday pressie was???

Anyway, I'd rather you lot didn't all go having more babies, it'll make me broody & jealous & I might actually have to admit I want another! grin

Saoirse glad you've talked!

So, Christmas next month shock what is santa bringing?? He's bringing Olly a wooden kitchen. Its from asda £40 down from £80! got some lovely little pots & pans etc from ikea to go with it. Tobys getting a remote controlled car! Got all his little bits, just the car to get then thats the boys done. Everybody else to go! Such an expensive time! I might have to rob a bank!
