First time ever I've started the new thread!

Well done, jabber :)
Sorry things aren't working well with dh, can't say dp & I are rubbing along that well (he's still dealing with major business issues) and it makes everything feel pretty miserable really. I'm wondering myself whether to get extra/different ADs as tbh they're not making a scrap of difference. I hope yours are kicking in now!

just marking my place on the new thread.

Sorry for all the troubles.

I'll attempt soemthing coherent another day. 5.30am yesterday, 4.30am today. On top of usual disruption overnight of course. I may go and list my children on ebay.

I think the meds adjustment is helping some. And I'm just trying to ignore dh's more snippy remarks for the most part.

It's Documentary Film Festival Week! Went to the champagne opening Friday night and have seen two films so far. I'm hoping to take the boys this afternoon. They have a selection of 3 short films played consecutively. That usually works better for them than one long one.

Hi Jabber. I hope it went well.

Stressed out here. Trying to organise works xmas party and no-one seems happy. We're small (about 15) and some people wanted partners, others didnt, so we've gone with no partners. Now some of our clients have declined the invites so numbers arent going to be vast (disco could be interesting). I hate party planning. :( No-one is ever happy.

On top of that I have to try and organise DDs 5th birthday party. her guest list is changing daily at the moment. Sigh.

Hello :)

Just busy here at the moment. Dh at his mum's with the dcs so I have had 2 nights of sleep disturbed only by prenancy insomnia and a need to go to the loo on a regular basis. Slightly better than being woken by dd on a regular basis Hmm.

Fair amount of cleaning donw, garden and yard scrubbed up and garden toys put away for the winter. Now need lunch before I make myself sit down and do my university application. Been putting it off until this week so I could sit downa nd do it undisturbed so now it is a very scary monster looming over me and I don't want to do it because I'm a wimp and the very idea of doing it petrifies me.

It's a big step but I know you will do fine, Indith. You are the kind of person who thrives on having lots of things going on at once!

EV, work Xmas parties are tough! I've never had to do one before. I guess this year I'll order in lunch and call it a party Wink

This group is ever-shrinking...
Hello, half-term madness ensues. somehow ds1 and ds2 have had me in tears by 11 two mornings in a row. And I was having a pretty good week up until then. Must get them out of the house earlier tomorrow, this must be the answer!!
Indith, I am sure that you faced the monster down and did the application. I have every faith in you, I comletely agree with Jabber on this. Have Biscuit as you can't have Wine. I'm going to have Wine though, sorry as I am still a bit teary after today. I had a few hours off today (after the horribleness and the tears I dumped them on GM and DP) and went shopping with no guilt at all about the garden toys which are in the middle of the thunderstorm right now. You put me to shame indith.
EV, it is considerably harder is it not with 2 at school? I find the admin/uniform side of it fairly hard to keep on top of, I'm sure I'll get better at it by Xmas! I once sorted xmas meal for colleagues, not something I want to repeat. I'm sure you'll be very firm and tell those who complain they can sort it themselves next year!
I have come up with the horrendously stupid fiendishly clever plan of cooking Xmas lunch for 11 myself. Note: I have never cooked Xmas lunch. DP has done it the few times we've hosted. Obviously I have cooked a roast, I have cooked for 11. It's just the whole most important meal of the year that's the issue.

Mum will be in Oz, my sisters will be here to help but bit concerned that my health isn't up to it as have had problems with my hips etc again of late. Probably because I'm a whale. It's just we've finally got a huge kitchen and room for everyone and I want to make it my way!
Zooming out again for rest of half term, Halloween craft activity in the library tomorrow, twins at nursery, what can go wrong?

I went to ds1's awards thing at school today, congratulating myself for getting out of the office in time only to discover that we missed parent/teacher conference yesterday Blush

Jabber I don't work and frequently forget things even when written in big letters on the calendar.

Hope the wine helps you both!

AQ don't feel guilty. The only reason stuff has been done is because the dcs are not here and I have had slightly more sleep. I have also done my fair share of slobbing and would have gone shopping but dh has the car. Can you do things buffet style for the dinner? 11 is a lot of people, you could do a ham which you can then serve cold and then your bird hot. Lots of things that can be made in advance and then just heated like pigs in blankets, garlic bread rolls. Cheat and use Aunt Bessies for roasties and yorkshires then just set it all out on a nice table, lots of nice but easy touches like christmassy candles and napkins and there you have it. You can sit back, let people help themselves and enjoy the day.

Mostly done, "just" battling with personal statement. Got to crack on though, someone coming round to buy one of our carseat collection at 10.30 then the dcs will be back.

I hope this little break is enough to be able to reset things a bit and manage to not scream quite so much once dh back at work.

Waiting for referee to do her bit so I can press send

Took Dd to the Dr today and told her she doesn't sleep. She has huge tonsils and is being sent to see a paed. I am not crap, there appears to be a reason she doesn't sleep.

Cheers, Indith!

Hopefully the tonsils will get sorted and dd will be sleeping away by the time the new baby comes :)

Does anyone know where Ravenswood Village is?

Aw, a paed referral is good Indith.

Jabber - no idea where Ravenswood village is.

AQ - waves.

Ravenswood is in Berkshire Jabber, one of the home counties, not far and to the west of London.

Good luck with the tonsils Indith. Must be a relief to know.

Thanks, castles. I am branching out into a field that is similar to what I do but kind of takes it to the next level iykwim. Have a partner who may come to the UK for some additional training and one of the places we are looking at is in Ravenswood Village. I would love to come too but money has to start flowing faster to send both of us!
