Here we are, our new thread and this time we all have our babies !

I thought we were getting thrush again, but then realised I had let ds's latch get sloppy. He was constantly clicking and tutting at the breast but I was too distracted to notice.

Ds and I made butterfly cakes together this morning, ds got to choose the colour of the buttercream icing ..... It is a very lurid shade of pink and they are covered in sugar strands. You can never have enough sugar!

new thread, new name

I have a baby sleeping in a sling. He was being a bit of a monster, which inspired my new name, but a ring sling and a couple of turns around the car park sent him off.

T has been asleep all day in between feeds, having been awake for hours in the night. Argh he is completely turned around atm!!

M is asleep in my arm - I'm sure she'll wake if i try to put her in the crib. We've been to weigh-in today - just below the 25th centile she's following but nothing to worry about - I suspect she'd have been above the line before poonami yesterday :o

I have a ds asleep in a sling and another who is sitting quietly because he has just been caught decorating the Walls with a yellow crayon. I should have known as he went quiet while I was in the kitchen.....

I havent had I weighed for a few weeks. I know he's piling on the oz's though as I can tell the difference when I pick him up, he's a right biffa.

same here ali, G didn't go to sleep till nearly 4.00am this morning.. then we were up and out for a bit of tea and cake nct postnatal course this morning. Did manage to get back to bed for a 2 hour nap when we got back so shouldn't complain but zzzzzzzzzzz! House looks like a bomb has hit it as DP, G and I had a rare afternoon just the 3 of us and spent it curled up watching films/feeding/cuddling - very nice it was too :)

Another non-sleeper here too. He's currently in the carrycot with a muslin draped so he can't see me. He's had less than 2 hours sleep since 8am. Although he's been chatting away during playtime, and had a good 5 mins tummy time earlier too!

Trying to ignore the snuffly whimpers & kicking feet till it's closer to bathtime.

I don't think we'll make it...

Ilike - I really, really hope so! The other possibility is teething, because he is rubbing his gums on my nipples in a way that I remember DS1 doing at around this point (10 weeks).

H had a good sleep this morning so I ran around washing the nappies etc. Wish I'd slept now, am knackered. DP and I bit feel ill, but H seems unaffected and is blissfully unaware of the jabs coming up on Monday.

Yep, that was definitely a megapoo as H is now smiling to himself in a satisfied way.

Ali teething already?! Could that explain the change to screaming and that red-faced breath-holding shouty crying? And that he'd rather chew a dummy than suck it? It crossed my mind but I thought it was too early. What order do teeth appear in?

Just had bath-time and starting the 2 hour go-to-flippin-sleep routine. Although he's apparently already crashed out on my boob. At least it's a sensible temperature tonight.

Well, we've not had a good day today. The bambino has slept for a grand total of an hour and a half since 7am. Just given her a mega feed and she's still awake on my chest. She doesn't even look vaguely sleepy...

I fear we're going to have a looong evening ahead of us.

well I'm sure it won't last, but I put him down and managed to sort the blankets out (lifting the mattress to tuck them underneath) without him waking.

He only fed off Lefty, so I'm not sure whether to pup Righty, or wait to see if he wakes up. Also wondering whether to start the weeding I've been wanting to do all day, or if he'll wake as soon as my hands get muddy.

After him being so demanding all day, I don't know what to do with myself now!

L being very good today (hope by saying that I'm not jinxing it)! She slept from 11.30pm to 5am which wasn't bad at all and on the whole been a smiley happy baby today. My nipples on the other hand are not happy! They are both sore and I have scabs developing on the bits which were red raw, ouch. Any advice on how to prevent this happening, I'm already using nipple shields?

good plan, moley, no wine, but lemonade & pimms, and just remembered the Nero & BBC Philharmonic is on tonight, so setting up with internet radio & kitchen-based surround sound (& "I'm-still-young-honest" delusion).

Starshaped sorry to hear you've had a day of it too. I was just about to suggest a bath & another bit of feed, but I think I can hear F stirring already (too much bass?!) so, I don't think I should say anything!

Good luck. Didn't get as far as the Pimms, F woke up after 30 mins. Fed him again, he sicked most of it over both of us so both had to change. Now sitting in his room with him frantically chewing/sucking on my finger. A dummy will NOT do, and I must not remove said finger or screaming will commence.

I knew it was too good to be true earlier. At least I've got iPlayer on my phone, could be here some time...

Hello ladies.

Also wine o clock here. C now goes down between 7pm and 8pm, the last three nights he's then only woken up once in the night, though the timings have been random. Last night did 7pm to 1am and then to 6am, the night before did 7am to 3am (MEGA sleep) and then was awake around 7am. I hope this is a trend that continues! He's only just 9lbs so I think that's pretty positive. I am staggered at how much your babies are awake in the day - Conor sleeps a lot! He's not wild about sleeping in the moses basket in the day, if I'm at home I'll usually get him to do it for an hour or so, but in the bouncy chair, sling, car-seat or (his top place) my arms, he is all about the sleep! He's corrected age is seven weeks but I guess if I'd gone over my due date he could easily have been only six or even five weeks now, so it's hard to judge where we 'should' be.

I am finally getting a few smiles. He's so darn cute - I can see him working out what it is I am getting so excited about. I go utterly loopy. I know that probably sounds insane but he's 15 weeks old, has been at home for 10 and I am only now getting a response from him, it means such a lot to see him light up!

We've had a quiet day just bobbing along with S's own feeding and sleeping schedule to recover from the over stimulation of lots of people all weekend. Particularly lovely was him going back to sleep after the 7am feed and not waking again till 10.30, meant I got a hot cup of tea this morning!

Last night S ended up sleeping most of the night in his cot in his own room. He was fine and I could hear him but I still didn't like not having him right next to me and we co-slept after the wee hours feed. Looks like he'll be using every bit of space in the moses basket for the next couple of weeks because I'll miss him too much once he's in his own room!

Oh, sounds like we're getting the tired and ready for feed and bed time grumbles!

Beetle is also of Petal's Pimms and starts eyeing up her DH's ales in the cupboard...

beetle we're putting DS in his own cot now and DH was quite upset about us not co-sleeping any more! Quite surprising given he wasn't that sold on the idea in the first place.

All happy again now, though, except the cat, who is also starving apparently.

We started similarly pet - 9ish til 2ish, then 2.30ish to 4.30ish and I'd just settled him after that feed when DH's bloody alarm went off at 6. I was sitting in bed feeding and crying as he left because he had no sympathy and didn't apologise! Then slept 6.45 til 9ish on me and we've been feeding for an hour. Thats the second time in a week he's gone nearly 5 hours. I'm hoping we're getting somewhere because it makes such a difference.
