I would love to come to that meet up but I'm 573 miles away so it's not really do able Sad I hate living so far away from everything Sad

I have a sweet potato and I want to cut it in to chips and roast it for b's dinner but I have always boiled veg so have no idea how long to roast it for (do I use oil/ what temp should I have the oven) this makes me sound really dense dosen't it? Confused

[crawls in] M might not be crawling yet (and is unlikely to for a while little lazy bones) but I can, at least! Wink

Carrying on from the other thread, I could do a London meet up. :) My parents live in the green belt for London and I was raised there.

So I guess from Cake's question, that'd be the odd thing about me! I live in Yorkshire, but my accent is home counties (though I say a short 'a'). I'm pretty short, 5'3, but more 'cuddly' than petite. I'm also a chronic tomboy and only wear war paint makeup and skirts/dresses when I really have to. Hmm

As for ironing... What is this strange hobby some of you speak of? Wink My free time is spent on the Xbox360!

I do seem to be getting a lot of colds at present, Chulita. I normally only get two or three a year, but for the last year I've been getting around one per month! Very annoying, but somehow M has managed to avoid every single one. Shock I have no idea how... She must have an immune system of steel.

Are any of the other BFers starting to wind it down now, or am I the only one? I've got M down to five one-sided feeds per day so far. I'm finding it's actually helping a nap in her cot routine form, as before she'd just snooze and feed on me. Hmm

Oh, I make sweet potato 'wedges' for M, Dylthan. She loves them. :) I cut the sweet potato into wedge/strips then put them in a bit of water and microwave for about 4 minutes. (Or you could parboil if you prefer.)

I then take the wedges out and spray them with oil before dropping them on a baking sheet into the oven for about thirty minutes on gas mark 5-6, until they just start to crisp up on the outside but are still relatively soft in the middle... As poor M has not a single tooth yet the slow poke!

Hey ladies

My boy is home Grin he had a good time but says he'se never going away again lmao

I would love to do a meet up but like dythlan it is too far a journey, if you manage a manchester one then I can come as my cousin lives there lol. I am quite lucky as I meet up with becky and violet who used to be on the thread and it is lovely to see the babies together.

cakes loving the old skool stylee, doubt R is going to crawl as she hates being on her tummy

dythlan if you can get through to glasgow we could meet up, or maybe somewhere inbetween? DP's cousin lives in Inverness she is the headmistress at a primary school there.

spireal i didnt have you down for playing xbox360 lol I am a ds woman, totally loved it when pg with R but cant find the time now

so needle would you mind sending us all an invite thingy via fb or just put a message on the fb group discussions with date/time/location please/nearest tube etc? that way, we can all check we can deffo do it and start planning.

how bloody exciting!

are you all planning to bring toddlers too or just babies? I mean the ones with toddlers obv - wasn't expecting the others to borrow a random toddler Grin

such a shame we're not all close enough to get together this time - maybe we'll try for another time up north sometime.

Lol cake, your faith in my organisational skills is touching. Nothing is confirmed yet, except that we want to have a few different opening events for different groups. I will furnish information as and when it becomes available.

Lol, if we have a guest room by then, someone will be welcome to it, but chances are decorating the house will take second fiddle to the tea house for a year or so yet.

We could block book the local Travelodge and fight over who's got monitor duty and who gets to go to the bar and get hammered.

right then, tsc is on monitor duty then Grin Actually stuff it all, I'll do it - confession time - I've never been drunk in my entire life.
I don't reckon attachment parenting is all that, I'll write a thesis on it and copy frankie in on it so he can peruse it and see if it changes his mind on things. Where we used to live this crazy bf counsellor was still bfing her 4 year old and was an attachment parenting fanatic. He was soooo spoilt and was always tugging at her whenever she tried to have a conversation...used to drive me up the wall.

oh, that is so naughty!

i was wondering that about needle too mlic Grin

i reckon it was a good catalyst for a meet-up anyway. If needle, you think it might be a while before you're ready to plan opening dates n stuff then maybe we should go ahead and just agree a meet-up date anyway?

or would that be wrong?
