I didn't know i was pregnant till 2nd January even though we had been trying i didn't think it would happen as quickly as it did and i have a VERY drunken christmas last year. I'm surprised she didn't come out craving an Irn Bru Wkd!!!

zowina - i pretend to be classy and drink rose wine (with lemonade) but irn bru wkd is by far my favourite drink ever, one of the pubs didn't have any in on my first night out after Grace and i was unbelievably horrified!!!

I found out Christmas day, the best present ever- although dh didn't believe it until the line was darker a couple of days later!

Luke is still in size 2 nappies even though he's 14lb, think it depends on body shape too chelle1986. I don't think either leak anymore than the others but I think huggies are softer, they don't leave those horrible crystals on the baby if the nappy has been on more than a couple of hours and they don't get damp from the outside so clothes stay dry unlike with pampers. I also prefer the tabs with huggies they are more stretchy. Perhaps I've thought about this too much Xmas Hmm I have to say I tried the new pampers newbaby as part of the mumchoice panel and they were much better than any other pampers nappies I've used.

Hello shiney new thread!!

I swear by nature baby nappies, have used them all along with DD and now she's in their pull ups and am with Flynn too, they are great very rarely leak and are a bit more eco friendly so I don't feel quite so guilty about landfill.......

Our Xmas tree went up last wknd!!!! Am absurdly excited about xmas this year think it's cause DD finally totally gets it all and is enchanted with every tree we see and anything xmas related, it really brings the magic back you remember from your own childhood.

Really hoping it doesn't snow here tonight as meant to be meeting my best mate tomorrow near Oxford and have been so excited about a day out just Flynn and me.

Good God - I blink and ye have raced on! If only I could lose weight catching up with ye!! No hope esp now melly has put Baileys in my head! Xmas starts tomorrow - decorations coming down out of the attic. Usually am all about xmas but not feeling it so much this year - hopefully will be better tomorrow.
Dont think any nappy would have survived what Pheobe delivered today! You know the ones - all the way up the back etc! I used to use cloth nappies and was told at this stage that bulkier nappies are better for the babies as it holds their hips in the right position! Im not using them anymore as a household of 6 the washing machine is constantly on anyway.
Ok wish me luck tomorrow - boys uber excited Hope I get enough sleep to manage them and put up decorations and still all be in xmas spirit tomorrow eve!

OMG, one poo a week? Arlo dies about 6 poos a day - is he a freak?! Seriously, i'd changed hus nappy 4 times before lunch yesterday..?!

First time in a week I've had to do a 4.30am feed. But to be fair we messed up his routine a bit - usually he's awake a bit in the evening playing, which seems to tire him out nicely for the night, but he was asleep and we were watching Mad Men...!

Picking up our new car today - if we can get out of the driveway past the snow! Took one drive in our current car with baby seat and pram chassis and decided we needed an estate car! DH v excited - he'd been wanting a new car for years, I kept saying 'after the wedding', 'after we move house', 'after the baby comes'..!!! Finally I agreed when I saw that if we ever want to go away anywhere, arlo will be fine but we will have to wear several changes of clothes all at once as there ain't room for anything else in the boot once Arlo's stuff is in! Xmas Smile

Okay, so a question for you all, anyone doing baby swimming with their LO? I really want to but the course round here, Water Babies, is really expensive. Also they seem to put a lot of emphasis on underwater swimming - including photos of baby under water - which I'm a bit scared about! Anyone any experience of swimming courses?

Dixiebell · 04/12/2010 08:43

clumsy, have you seen this? We have one for our Arlo.

Morning all! Well, afternoon really! both boys up at 5am!!!!! So not impressed! Olly was gurgling & giggling away and Toby was just "wake now mummy!" I think I can put that one down to having being stuck inside for the last 4 days! We really need to try to get him worn out today. Any suggestions when we're still snowed in?!

Dixie we never did swimming lessons so can't really comment. We just took ds1 ourselves & dunked him! he loves swimming now!

I'm really looking forward to taking Louis swimming - we're planing on going in the new year. He absolutely loves his bath so hopefully he'll love the pool too... Haven't investigated classes yet, but I've read the underwater is the only way babies can actually swim as their heads are to heavey.

melly we use Nature Babycare nappies too. When Louis was first born they kept leaking (think he was a bit too skinny in the leg) but now he seems to fit the much better. He's a multiple poos a day baby too - tends to do a few close together in the morning and a few in the early evening, and then a couple of sneaky ones at random times, just to keep us on our toes Xmas Grin. They have 2 consistancies totally liquid... and foam!

Foam - nice!! Xmas Grin

Sorry mammmy about the Baileys Wink

Probably about to cause envy now but am rather chuffed....Discovered last night that I fit back in my skinny jeans, so excited, only have about 5 pounds to go before I'm back to pre-pregnancy weight, have no idea how it's happened as been eating for 10 and not exercising (but then running round after toddler and feeding a giant 10 week old probably has something to do with it!)

Flynn used to poo everyday at least sometimes more but the last couple of weeks it's gone to alternate days.

Woke up to snow and can't get out of my road so haven't been able to go for my day out to meet my best mate Sad so gutted but can't risk it with a 10 week old, the thought of getting stuck somewhere terrifies me.

Ah well will just have to go and play in it and then light the fire and drink some more Baileys.....

Xmas Envy mellymooks

I am still 2 stones over what i was before i got pregnant. I did put 5 stones on though. Xmas Shock

It's getting to the point where i can't say 'i've jsut had twins' for an excuse. Although it sounds better when i say 16 weeks ago rather than nearly 4 months. Blush

Went through my pregnant belly photos the other day and my first one is when i am 8 weeks pregnant and i have thee teenest bump and i'm so slim (in comparison to now!) Umph.
