I've never been over to this topic before! It feels most strange.

It's nice to see there are threads still going from babies born years back - in fact there is one from Jan 07 (when DS was born) labelled "part 31" (!!) - wonder if I'm too late to join it?! Grin

Hope ours will still be going in 3.5 years' time! Smile

We should do a new due date list, so we can see how close people are etc :p

I wonder who will be first :)

Most likely me, now that i've had to take my spare key back from my mums since I lost mine, since the car badly needs an mot and is currently full of luggage we need to put in storage... and since last night I started stripping off the wallpaper in two rooms and sanding down the wood... living room and bedroom.

I'm going to go into labour with all of that going on and the house looking like a tip because that is just my luck :p

Hello, would like to mark my spot, although not planning on popping for 6 more weeks Grin

Hevster · 26/08/2010 20:04

anything that would be about right, my house looks a tip too and all I have achieved today is hemming and lining DD's new curtains!

Jacks feels quite friendly that there are lots of people still in touch on this page of threads, spect there is one for Oct 07 too!

BabyB you been working hard today or have you been arrested for shouting at the loud workmen?

Morning all, Had to catch up with everything then got a bit lost! I think I'm meant to be having an induction last week of Septmeber though haven't had this confirmed yet should know more the 13th September! :) Actual due date is 13.10.10 or 10.10.10 depending on whose EDD you go with!

Jenko think you said about being frustrated with the whole not knowing thing, I am totally the same as you which is why I am soooo hoping they do induce me! At least I will know what to expect!

What's with the saying it can be anywhere from 37 weeks??? That's just scary as that's only just over 4 weeks for me! AHHHH!!!! Really scared now!

Is anyone else completely unable to wear shoes, has been ok until now as have been able to wear flip flops but now the weather is so wet it's a little difficult! Was a size 7 before and have tried wearing a size 8 but they are too long but not wide enough, plus socks just don't happen as they leave a massive dent in my elephant ankles! :( God I sound like such a winge now don't I? Sorry all! Just getting fed up! Plus have really hurt my knee somehow, think it might just be the swelling spreading north! :(

How's everyone else, I am only on a half day today so am thinking I have no excuse to feel sorry for myself!

BabyB remember the feet from last time - am presuming the hyperemesis has stopped me swelling so badly this time but dunno how.
I threw my flipflops away post pregnancy coz I couldn't face looking at them anymore, roll on 13th, it really helps having a date and a definate end in site.

They say baby is fully grown from 37 weeks (thats 3 more weeks here) but really don't want mine coming till I have spoken to hosp about what to do if I go into labour before c-sect date...

still wet here so off to Longleat again when i have cleared all the chalk off the floor (DD is drawing!)

hi girls.

i found you!

babyb you poor thing. i have also had an absolute nightmare with feet and legs this week. i have been interviewing a witness and have been sitting in the same position pretty much constantly for 12 hours a day. i have even been eating lunch and snacks in the meeting room (i have had a quick break now and then and have checked MN (!) but generally, i have been in the meeting). my feet swelled up MASSIVELY. (i am also dog tired but that is a different issue!) i really think therefore that a bit of walking around, even not much, helps. I have a desk job anyway, but i usually get u and down to go to the printer etc and seriously this proper sedentary thing has totally scuppered me this week. i am not sure what you do (you probably do something really active now i am saying this which will mean that my advice is bvgger all use), but if you could just make sure that you pop up out of your seat every few minutes to use your calf muscles etc i really think it helps with the circulation. i have also (usually) had a waste paper bin upturned under my desk as a classy footstool Hmm

i didn't realise how much any of this was helping until i was stuck so much this week. it's HORRID. my calves are painful and itchy and my feet look disgusting.

sorry for long ramble. i hope it improves soon - remember, not long now til your bambino pops out in a nice, swift pain-free delivery Grin

KFW sorry about your feet etc too - Devizes only about 25 mins from us but I don't often go there (ex stepmother the 2nd lives there!)

If it's any consolation (spelt wrong?) all the swelling goes within about 2 weeks of birth coz you pee it out and it's very satisfying!

Just a quick one, have invited a lady that I found lurking on one of the other threads to join us, she is theladyintheradiator and was worried she would be gatecrashing so am formally inviting her to join the lovliest group on Mumsnet! (If that's ok!)

Sorry Hevster worked out I got it wrong, I am also 3 weeks till 37 weeks, was getting myself confused it's 4 weeks until they MAY induce me! God that's far too soon! Ahhh!!!! As she is huge they are a little worried about letting me go full term but I won't know anything further until 36 week scan!

Everyone is peeing me off today at work! Think I need to go home! Am only in till 12.30 so fingers crossed I can keep calm!

Oops just realised Ive had this on my screen for the last 30 mins and haven't pressed submit so sorry if I x posted with anyone!

Haha knew I'd miss some posts, KFW glad it's not just me! I am a recruitment consultant so am mainly at my desk but I do make a point of going to the loo every hour and making a million cups of tea for the office regularly! But yeah need to keep moving around.

The MW said to drink loads of water as well to try and flush it out!

Think I've just had enough at the moment and all the ladies on my NCT class are all so glam and gorgeous! Then there's me who looks like a weeble! :(

Morning Ladies, i see we have all moved on to the new thread! :)

Today seems to be a better day for my emotions - i think i totalled about 7 cries yesterday over what i am still trying to figure out just couldnt stop blubbering! Confused

Baby's kicks are really starting to hurt now, its leaving me scared when the next one will poke out! she doesnt stop all day and seems to be nice and quiet at night which i totally love! - if she keeps that up once shes born i will cherish her forever! Wink (although i totally know i will love her to bits no matter how many times she has me out of bed in the night!)

I know how you feel re the swollen calves/feet thing KFW, had it last time round and so far its staying away this time so fingers crossed i avoid it! Not nice but as Hevster said it does just go away once baby is born which isnt too long is it?

Its Friday! Another week down, 5 to go! (at work i mean!)

Report
babybunting2010 · 27/08/2010 11:14

I know! Thank God for Friday's I've only got 2 more weeks left and even better, they are both 4 day weeks! Hell yeah! Sorry to sound so over joyed, but with a job that you really don't enjoy that much anyway it's tough to care!

Yummy Glad you're having a better day today.

Also, very glad I haven't had the swollen feet thing - I'm a size 8 shoe already and the thought of having to find size 9s...

4 weeks left at work for me - counting down the days now!

Hi all!

Last day at work today so feeling quite emotional and Sad (I actually quite like my job!).

I know what you mean about feet, I hadn't really noticed as have been wearing flip flops all summer too, until I wore some ballet pumps the other day which have always been comfy before but are now agony to wear and have ripped my feet to shreds!

I am also getting to the stage when no clothes are comfy and will be spending the next few weeks in tracky bottoms, sports bras and DH's t-shirts, I think!

Also, the nausea has made a return recently which is not great. So all in all feeling a bit crap today.

But at least we are off on hols later this evening. See you all when we get back (try not to have any babies while I'm gone, please! Grin) xx

Jacks I am soooo the same am really running out of the effort of wearing actual clothes! I pretty much get home and get straight into PJ bottoms! Then that's me sorted for the day!

So I think we should put our own dates, that we think the baby will be born to see if we are right! next to our due date. For those that already know their dates, lucky you! Grin you can just put what it was meant to be and when you get your bundle of joy!

BabyB- Actual EDD 13.10.10 My EDD 30.09.10 (yes I know if that actually happens then I am gatecrashing but hey!)

Blimey Jenko you're thinking you're going to be a whole 13 days over due! Ouch! That's actually a bit of a nightmare to me! So will probably happen, will probably be born in November or something! :)
