Kay Birley from Sky News, should she go also?

I wouldnt normally watch Sky News but whilst I was on here talking about Nick Clegg I could here this bullying woman interview a guy that was leading the demo on Saturday. I thought she was well out of order and then, I was looking at the Guardian online and apparently there is a call for her on facebook and twitter to resign or be sacked. Did anyone else catch it and what do you think to her in general?

Totally disagree. She asks tough questions - regardless of whether it is politicians on the right or left.

She is one of the best female news people that there is. I think she asks the questions that viewers would want to ask if they were in the studio.

The people who have a problem with her seem to be on the left. Quelle surprise.

I don't have a problem with her asking tough questions but she comes across as rude and a bit thick. It really irks me that she is probably one of the best known female new presenters as it suggests that she is the best we can do.

She was practically battering the poor lad, kept repeating herself. I think its on utube somewhere. I dont usually notice things like that when Im doing something else but I could hear her bleating on. Jeremy Paxman, she aint.

I think that you should watch the clip before you make a judgement

I do not think that she should be sacked, but it is absolutely clear from that clip that she was rude, unprofessional and patronising.

She is reporting NEWS, it is not a celebrity interview. She should at least attempt to look as if she is unbiased.

Victoria Derbyshire also asks tough questions of politicians but knows how when it's appropriate to do so

Her interview style of that nice polite man rather reminded me of how people behave when they have been taking coke - interrupting, aggressive, patronising, sure they are right, unable to listen, etc. How dare she speak to a member of the public like that.

I actually thought, is this woman on drugs? thats EXACTLY how she was acting. He wasnt even a slimey politician just a nice young lad who was involved in a peaceful demo. Apparently, she did the same to Peter Andre.

There are ways of asking "tough questions" and she is showing exactly how NOT to do it.

I cannot stand her sanctimonious arrogance.

Aggression has followed her for a long time and nothing ever gets done about it. Look at the photos of her with her hand around the throat of a photographer.

Look at the way she spoke to Peter Andre.

She likes to think she is Paxman but she is not.

She comes across as being rude and unprofessional.

And she is the reason I will not watch Sky News.

Just can't stand her.

There is a protestor standng in the background as Kay Burley is trying to interview someone, shouting at the top of his voice 'Sack Kay Burley. Watch the BBC.' She had to stop teh interview in the end.

This an organised campaign from the left to put pressure on Sky. Nothing more than that.

Lets also not pretend that march for PR was spontaneous. It was nothing more than a completely orchestrated manouevre by the left to put pressure on Nick Clegg and stop him coming to an agreement with Cameron.

I was watching the other day, and she was reading some story she obviously didn't approve of. At the end of it she did this > and a semi cats bum mouth.

The story itself wasn't anything outrageous (can't remember it tbh), but I remember thinking "Oi, just read us the news, I don't need your personal opinion on it thanks".

That YouTube clip is awful. The lady's got ishoos methinks..

I thought he needed a bit of working-over, to force him to clarify his ideas, and, interestingly, he got more vague as she questioned him, not more specific!

On the other hand, she was stupid to say that 65% of the electorate voted for a hung parliament. Not really! The electorate voted in different ways, showing that it is fragmented: that is what the hung parliament means.

It could have been a much better interview all round!

I have disliked KB for a lot longer than before viewing Saturday's rant (which I watched live and then had to turn off as was so ridiculous).

She started off on Breakfast TV years ago (before GMTV if I recollect).

I have been alternatively appalled and fascinated by her rise to stardom anchor Sky News. She appears to be not very bright, ignorant and vacuous to me.

On the other hand, they do also have Eammon Holmes.....

Why don't they have a heavyweight news anchor??
