Consider me completely ignorant.

With the parties up for election in December. Who are you voting for any why? Who's the villain - who's the best option?

They are all so conflicting I'm just lost.

There's a website (whose name totally escapes me) where you can do a quiz and it matches you to the party that suits you best. Maybe give that a google?

I will be voting labour for lots of reasons, mainly public spending policies and support of JC.

@PurpleFrames I literally need a summary of who's promising what. Although I can't see any of them following it through.

Maybe check out the BBC news site or the guardian? Both have spreadsheet type breakdowns

I think there is a website called simple politics and you can choose to have it as concise as possible or not.

I will be searching that because as a life long Tory voter I am completely flummoxed now.

The quiz is uk.isidewith.com. It's really helpful to guide you to the party who's aims best fit yours.

TheyWorkForYou //www.theyworkforyou.com/mps/ is a helpful website which provides quite a lot of information on how people who have been MPs have voted. So if the person who has been your MP is standing again in this election, you could look up how he/she has voted, which might be a decent start to deciding whetheryou would like to see that person re-elected. However, TheyWorkForYou will not have information on a candidate who has never been an MP.

The not quite worst option in the vain hope for a hung parliament as both main parties have policies that are nuts and really want to vote LibDem but no chance of them winning.

Don’t really want to vote for any of the self serving wankers but that’s the choice.

The PM's despicable attempt to not only politicise the London Bridge terror attack but to actually lie about root causes and pass the buck is a new low even for him.

However no one should be surprised this is a man who has made a career from lying and deceit, not only has he been sacked from two previous jobs for lying, but virtually everyone who has worked with him describes him as being a serial abuser of the truth.

In this campaign alone both he and his party have been caught doctoring videos to make political opponents look bad, caught impersonating independent twitter account factcheck in order to spread Tory propaganda during leaders' debate. They have also been warned by BBC to stop altering video footage on FB which looks as though BBC political journalist support .

The PM has repeatedly refused to be scrutinised by voters and political journalists wherever possible and is running scared from Andrew Neil, as he knows he will rip his lies to shreds. He even get caught during Andrew Marr interview in repeated lies, including somehow saying that austerity was not their fault and that the last 9 years of Tory Govt are nothing to do with him, yet time and time again he voted for their policies.

The Tories even started to threaten CH4 saying they "would look seriously into their licensing",after they quite rightly replaced the PM with a melting ice statue, as he refused to attend leaders' debate on climate change. These kind of threats against media are what we would expect in a country like Russia and from Putin, not in UK.

I am no big fan of Jeremy Corbyn or Labour but i would rather they led a minority Govt than Boris Johnson and his right wing cronies got another 5 years in power.

@Skyejuly what is it about labours policies that makes you want to vote for them? Genuinely looking for some education!

I find myself vehemently disagreeing with all of them on one stance or another.

@2littleChicks

I love Labour’s policies on:

  • Free childcare for 2,3 and 4 year olds
  • Proper funding back into education & NHs
  • The green industrial revolution: creating 1 million climate jobs and “climate apprenticeships”
  • nationalised pharmaceutical company, so that we can produce the drugs the public has already funded the science for, cheaper and give them back to the NHS
  • 33% off rail fares (good for the wallet and climate change!)

There so many! But those are the ones I really love. I can’t think of a single good policy from the Conservatives or the Lib Dem’s. Seems like just more of the same.

Hm well it’s not looking great to be honest. I think without getting too bogged down in the detail we have...

A liar and serial adulterer who repeatedly stabbed the last PM in the back despite this being bad for the country and who seems to think he bears no responsibility for the last nine years despite his fingerprints all over it. Think he has promised everybody whatever they want, so yay! Sadly you’d be a fool to believe any of it, except perhaps his promises to rethink the Government’s relationship with the Courts, and to bribe his supporters with tax cuts. Vote for him to ‘Get Brexit Done’ aka start an extremely long process which will alienate all our allies and not be anywhere near ‘done’ for at least a decade and will never be done competently at all. Oh yeah and a border between Northern Ireland and the rest of UK. But don’t worry about that cos we’re all going to pretend it’s not there apparently.

A very nice old man who has bags of integrity but perhaps not the best grasp of reality. If he wins we can only hope he gets some v good people around him asap. Vote for him to have slightly less money if you’re middle class, but at least you won’t live in a dictatorship with a food bank on every corner. Oh yeah and he wants to nationalise a load of services like trains etc but it’s been rubbish in private ownership so 🤷‍♀️.

A nice-seeming lady who made the slightly odd judgment call to campaign on stopping Brexit asap and thus alienate millions of people who would otherwise have voted her given the undeniable craptitude of the front runners. Yet, to be fair, at least she’s not a nutter which is less certain with the above two candidates. Vote for her for less extreme policies on basically everything... Except the Gender Recognition Act where unfortunately she seems happy to give up safe spaces reserved for biological women and thus lose my vote 🤦‍♀️

Some other people none of whom seem to be considered options which is odd given how rubbish the front runners are. Think some people want to stop climate change (madness!) and others reckon the UK’s top priority at the moment is to dissolve the union (bet that’ll make everything lovely and stable).

Good luck. Seeing as it’s nearly xmas I reckon I’ll vote for the one who looks most like Santa.

I have to disagree that Corbyn is " a very nice man"

He is terrifying. Utterly terrifying.

He backs Hamas, supports the IRA, appeases the Kremlin and is anti semetic condoner.

Op. Do you research if you haven't already.

Mumsnet is as left wing Bias as the BBC...
