Anyone else feeling heavily targeted by political parties? (GE 2017)

Will it work, will your vote be so easily swayed?

I postal vote because it's easy & I work FT. One blurb from Theresa May even addressed me as a "postal voter"! I have no clue about name of our conservative party candidate. It wasn't obvious on the mailshots.

I quite like our LibDem MP & hope he stays. No UKIP candidate here. UKIP told supporters to vote Tory instead. Angry

Targeted? I haven't had one bit of mail from any of them! I live in a political stronghold though so no one can be bothered with us Angry

Not a peep here, but I know who I'm voting for so won't be swayed by any fancy pants campaigning any way.

I've had a couple of leaflets but none of them have dared knock on my door Grin

I've had a shoddy leaflet from the conservatives which just had some buzz phrases in bold and no detail, no mention whatsoever of local candidate

Bizaarely Lib Dems were handing out baloons at my local shop. There are no lib dem candidates in our constituency or our neighbouring one Confused

Other than that, not a peep!

I am a postal voter, and have had leaflets and a letter from Theresa May (obviously I know she didn't personally write it to me Grin). I think it's really weird that they were sent out before local candidates were announced, and I definitely won't be swayed by them.

I have also had a leaflet from our current MP, and it just confirmed what I know already; that she is incredibly active in the community and an asset to the area.

I just found a list... we are barely in top 40 target for Tories. I wonder what living in a top 10 target seat area is like.

Labour threw a lot at us for the local election, their man lost by only 38 votes last time. This time he was 3rd, 200+ down from the winner. I felt bad since they tried so hard.

Not a peep from anyone other than the existing MP here. Not even a leaflet.

Not really. I wish I was. Safe Tory seat here and no one else appears to have any money or resources to do much campaigning. Labour and LibDems came 3rd and 4th respectively here in 2015 after Tories and Ukip in 2nd. I don't think they could unseat this MP if they combined forces tbh.

Conservative canvasser knocked on door this evening. The way he was parked in drive suggested he had come to my door special, not here to visit anyone else.

I suspect my son has done a trick on me... nominated us as swing voters(!!)

Had a Conservative leaflet through the door with no policies - just the usual strong and stable rubbish. Totally offensive to voters. In general, my Tory MP is doing precisely nothing about the horrendous cuts to the schools in our area. Massive job losses, TA's going, classes growing , Sixth Forms closing......Tories don't care about our kids' education so they won't be getting my vote.

Deluged by both the lib dems and conservatives as I'm in richmond. Not a sausage from labour.

I'm guessing you live in a marginal seat?

YoullNeverWeeAlone · 17/05/2017 21:42

I am being completely ignored by all parties. We are Labour /LD/green marginal. Tories have no chance but no one else seems keen to secure my vote either.

3 more mail shots today. I'm not counting the ones addressed only to DH.

... oh, and our incumbent MP was greeting folk outside the primary school today. DH said Hello.

Haha we'd be lucky to see anyone or receive anything in the coming weeks. Tory safe seat. No one is going to waste all that time and money to come around here.
Though saying that, the constituency I live in is the same place that has most googled "who should I vote for" so maybe it's not as safe as they think
