Clearly those who think that we need 4, 5, maybe 10 threads on the same slurry, who don’t have the intellect to see the difference Cameron has made to the UK’s prospects since 2010, may chose to give that thought, planted by self confessed man with a beef with Cameron, as Cameron’s legacy.
When Labour came into power in 1997, with no national emergencies, they had a few years to learn how to govern while putting up taxes, selling our gold and raiding pensions, the ‘stuff’ Labour are good at.
With the Conservatives out of power for 13-years Cameron in 2010 had to hit the ground running, form the first coalition in around 70-years, and fight an opposition that had totally unbalanced the economy prior to the crash opposing every reform from May 2010, yet judging by their action after that 2007/8 crash as real earning were falling, that oppositions only solutions from May 2010 UNTIL FACING REALITY - was to keep increasing the annual overspend sustaining the unsustainable, while putting UP taxes e.g. National Insurance.
March 2010; ”Alistair Darling: we will cut deeper than Margaret Thatcher”
www.theguardian.com/politics/2010/mar/25/alistair-darling-cut-deeper-margaret-thatcher
”Alistair Darling admitted tonight that Labour's planned cuts in public spending will be "deeper and tougher" than Margaret Thatcher's in the 1980s, as the country's leading experts on tax and spending warned that Britain faces "two parliaments of pain" to repair the black hole in the state's finances.”
October 2013; “Labour will be tougher than Tories on benefits, promises new welfare chief”

“Rachel Reeves vows to cut welfare bill and force long-term jobless to take up work offers or lose state support”
March 2010; “Labour’s plans to increase national insurance next year will cost jobs, Alistair Darling has said.”
www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/labour/7539343/Labours-planned-National-Insurance-increase-will-cost-jobs-Alistair-Darling-admits.html
“In his evidence, Mr Darling defended his plans to increase national insurance, saying it was necessary to raise extra money to reduce Government borrowing, which will be £167 billion this year.”
So Labour that KNEW cuts had to be made but we had to be on the Road to Greece before they faced it, will always be remembered as the incompetent party that with hundreds of billions to spend, a huge parliamentary majority, a boom decade in which to shape society, had nothing to show for it with nearly everything worse than when they came to power.
Cameron’s leadership from 2010 had to fix our economy, finances, still rocketing debt due to the unbalanced economy, the banks to lend again, the private sector given confidence to hire, our defence black hole, a housing crisis, the NHS with PFI debts 13,000 fewer beds and 3 million more citizens etc etc etc – having been passed a £153 billion annual government overspend by Labour, when our books were balanced around 2001, thanks to Tory budgets after the 1990/1 recession.
So if people can’t see the changes he had to make, our GDP that FELL 7% after the crash growing faster than any other European country, created more jobs than most of the Eurozone put together and so the UK has half the Eurozones unemployment rate – and still unable to work out how bad the UK would have been without his leadership and those who got us into the mess still trying to work out what they were doing wrong – then pig ignorant comes to mind.
