"#ThanetRigged: Thanet South 'Fraud' Probe In Seat Where Nigel Farage Was Defeated In The General Election
...
Police are looking into an allegation of electoral fraud in Thanet South, the seat which Ukip's Nigel Farage failed to win on Thursday night.

Mr Farage lost out in the General Election to the Conservatives' Craig Mackinlay who racked up 18,838 votes to Mr Farage's 16,026.

Claims of suspicious behaviour surfaced following a lengthy delay in declaring the seat's results at Margate's Winter Gardens."

""No evidence" of electoral fraud has been found in the Thanet South seat contested in the general election by Nigel Farage, police have said."

'Investigating fraud,' but 'no electoral fraud', hmmmm.

I know, its the Fraud Squad investigating Farage's cast iron pledge to resign if he lost.

"They won't LET me resign" ... from the the ex City man who stated "I'm a man of my word"......what a pussy.

Report
claig · 13/05/2015 22:39

Farage said he would resign and he did. He didn't say for how long he would resign, and when the party implored him to continue, he decided he would once again put his own wishes second and put serving the people first.

This story seems something about nothing? Kent Police (yehaa!) are investigating a fraud but think it's all alright really?

Really, I can see the scene...weeping middle aged bigots crawling along the floor clinging to his ankles imploring him not to leave...."We have nothing to live for without you, our Glorious Leader! Only you are able to maintain the illusion of rationality in the face of the Great British Public! We can't stand up in front of people because our eyes go all swivelly!"

It's all very inspiring. He should write a book, shouldn't he? Call it something like....I don't know...."My Struggle?"

I feel sorry for the middle-aged bigots. Crying into their proper British ale.

lordStrange, the police investigated and hours later they seem to have said that there was no electoral fraud.

He's already wrtten a book called "The Purple Revolution" and it is selling out faster than hot cakes or fruitcakes as far as I am aware. I am told that the political class are studying it closely.

claig .... you appear fraud shifty to concerned, as well as resignation tricksy " he didn't say for how long he would resign" - as 'there's no smoke without ..... a pint', or something like that.

Everyone knew UKIP is a one-man-pony-party, so it was totally irresponsible for him to promise to the rest of us, he'd leave if failed for 7th time to get into Westminster - as it proved to some of us, that the electorate CAN spot a dodgy prospective MP. lol

Seriously, for someone who has lectured on the accountability of elected MP's, Farage has not set a very good UKIP standard of even personal accountability, when not elected.

'Farage has not set a very good UKIP standard of even personal accountability'

But UKIP voters were happy about Farage's change of mind. It was only in Westminster that the mood was gloomy.

Claig .... the followers of 'the cult of Farage' would allow the man to pee in their pints if he wanted; its those currently not voting for UKIP he needs to win over/convert to Westminster seats.

Look it was clear to anyone with half a brain that Farage was coming back to re apply for UKIP leadership, after honoring his word spending a 'decent' time as a simple UKIP MEP - with the ability at any time to speak, as one of the simple U-kippers. lol.

And as an ex City 'my word is my bond' he knew that, so there must have been a bit of panic within UKIP for not allowing him time, from directionless senior people, financial backers, even a threatened coup from one of your MP's - so there is the real Thanet story. IMO

"The trouble with you, Spode, is that just because you have succeeded in inducing a handful of half-wits to disfigure the London scene by going about in black shorts, you think you're someone. You hear them shouting "Heil, Spode!" and you imagine it is the Voice of the People. That is where you make your bloomer. What the Voice of the People is saying is: "Look at that frightful ass Spode swanking about in footer bags! Did you ever in your puff see such a perfect perisher?"

Yes, millionaires have put money into UKIP and they want the best person possible to lead UKIP and take it to the Establishment. Farage s not politically correct like most of the rest of them, that is why he is the best one to shake them up.

It looks like some of the politically correct UKIP MEPs might be turning on Farage. If Farage loses, the Establishment wins. The UKIP voters are hoping Farage will rout them.

There is rebellion within UKIP. The politically correct crowd are having a go at Farage. This is an existential crisis. If Farage loses out to them, it's over.

Et tu Patrick?

"Nigel Farage has become a "snarling, thin-skinned, aggressive" man who is turning Ukip into a "personality cult", the party's campaign chief has said in a blistering attack on his leader"

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/ukip/11604319/Ukip-campaign-chief-launches-blistering-attack-on-Nigel-Farage.html

It's anything but dull in the people's party.

The ‘cult of Farage’ has long been talked about outside UKIP circles, but when your campaign spokesman speaks out, it’s not a good internal sign.
www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/nigel-farage/11179456/Of-course-Ukip-wont-condemn-its-racist-new-partners-because-Ukip-is-the-cult-of-Nigel-Farage.html

Personally when I see Patrick O’Flynn on TV he doesn’t come across as trustworthy; indeed he always scowls and looks to me as if measuring up those around him for his next meal, but call me bias, I think UKIP has a few of them e.g. Tim…. whats-his-face?

Farage recently has kept mentioning how hard he has worked for 20-years on project UKIP, its 24/7, his family has suffered, yada yada yada ….

In a past professional life in the office I’d see that as someone trying to get over how indispensable they are and wonder exactly who are they trying to convince, their boss (in this case the electorate), or themselves.

In Farage’s case, surrounded by mainly Tory rejects, it is an unfortunate (for UKIP’s future), that 'in the land of the blind, the least swivel eyed man is king.'

To me UKIP needs talent balance, as Farage cannot do it all himself and those beneath him will want more recognition and it needs to be addressed, but internally, and you’d think you communications expert might understand that.

What with O'Flynn and Carswell challenging Farage so openly, a little u-kipper earthquake is coming and unless Farage has health issues, my money would be on Farage coming out as winner - but for UKIP as a whole needing to keep their EU Referendum pooh together in order to look relevant, its a fight they really don't need. IMO

I think that is a fair assessment.

'To me UKIP needs talent balance, as Farage cannot do it all himself'

Alas, that is true.

'my money would be on Farage coming out as winner'

We all hope you are right.

'it's a fight they really don't need'

Absolutely, but it is one the Establishment want.
