I was shocked to see UKIP win the European elections but greatly saddened and angered learning that a friend feared returning to the UK with her children because she was Muslim. Today's blog is a response to this. We all have a role to play in reducing everyday racism and bigotry. This is me trying to play my part. www.meopinionatedreally.wordpress.com
Thank you for that, Karen. Enjoyed your blog. Stop fearing other people, start trusting them. A common sense way of looking at the world.
Thank you. I totally agree with your sentiment.
What has UKIP got to do with your friends fear of coming to this country as a Muslim? It is quit obvious with 7/7 and the killing of Lee Rigby by Muslim extremists, that some people will lump all muslims in the same boat, not only disliking them, but fearing them.UKIP has never had any truck with extremists of any kind.Unlike the labour party who have ex-BNP councillors!
> What has UKIP got to do with your friends fear of coming to this country as a Muslim? A lot, since UKIP are a racist party.
Thank you ttosca. I didn't feel the comment above warranted a response. The basic fact is they are racist. I suspect those that think otherwise are racist themselves so don't recognise it in others.
