UK 9/11 Memorial for 67 victims, why not the same for 160+ Human BSE UK victims?

Not many of you probably know this but there is a memorial site in London by the River Thames which has a plaque in memory of those innocent UK victims who have died from the human form of mad cow's disease (vCJD). These victims are from all walks of life just like those who died in the 9/11 disaster, they were not born with this deadly disease but it was transmitted to them, ultimately leading to their deaths. What bothers me is that no politician or royal figure is ever in attendance at the annual Human BSE memorial, held on 12th November each year, why is this not given any media coverage? Why do politicians seem afraid to be involved? Is this because this dreadful lethal disease is still killing people today? Why are the victims of Human BSE ignored?

fuckityfuckfuckfuck,

No, why should they, freedom of speech and all that, no harm in speaking about real matters that can affect anyone at anytime.

I just hate these threads that try and solicit comparisons to terrorist events.

Why? Why? Why? Do you this?

Interesting.I looked after 2 young teenage girls with this. From what I can gather it could well be lying dormant in a considerable amount of people. It is a dreadful disease.

It always comes across as trying to make the terrorism sound better.

have you seen food inc? the way cattle is fed is shocking, not sure people still know the truth

but to compare a memorial for one or the other is a bit nuts really

Is it because the victims of 9/11 were ruthlessly and callously murdered, and the people have died of vCJD weren't?

Maybe not callous but definitely cynical.

Of course the 67 UK victims of 9/11 were ruthlessly and callously murdered, but so were & are the victims of Human BSE, just ask any of the relatives, the difference being politicians acknowledge 9/11 victims but for some reason not Human BSE victims. Maybe if the photographs, ages of all the human BSE victims were published and the grotesque & horrific way in which they die, some of you may beg to differ.

This website is open to anyone to talk about anything, many truthful subjects are not to our liking but nobody is forcing you to read them, its like a kids playground on here, dont like you so I'm reporting you...............there is such a thing as freedom of speech, but turn off if you dont like it.
Can't see anything wrong with asking politicians to recognise victims if human BSE and attend the annual memorial, after all they have been unlawfully killed have'nt they?

Perhaps you need to look up the legal definition of murder. Or are you fruitcake enough to think the agricultural industry and the government deliberately set out to kill them?

Shall be inviting David Cameron, Ed Milliband, Nick Clegg & Boris Johnson along to the next Human BSE memorial in November, all are welcome.

Beaaware - I think you would get more more people to listen to you (and what is the point of free speech if you turn off your audience) if you:

  • did not link your cause to the events of 9/11 - they are really not related
  • stop talking about murder

Just some friendly advice. Because doing those two things just completely undermines your case and make everyone switch off and think that you are .... well .... a little bit .... odd ...

"Odd" is who actually still believes 9/11 was not an act of state terror. Sheesh you people sure are naive. OP's actually more on the money juxtaposing 9/11 and BSE outrages than most reactionary, kneejerk, myopic, patronising MNers would care to even know. "Bovine" (you) and "profit" (them) being the operative words.

Sick puppets more like.............check out my other posts Georgimama. How rude of you to insinuate Beaware made me up to bolster her argument. Must be your lucky day to get reported twice. Must be disturbing to know not everyone adheres to your cut and dried, one dimensional, facile view of the universe. Find some time to watch the doc. Could be an illuminating lesson.

Nothing like a conspiracy theory plus a bit on insulting rhetoric to get people on board. Hmm

the loose change vid has been disproved time and time again

but saying that i think the bse thing is worth disucssing but maybe start another thread not comparing them with 9/11 and/or weird conspiracy theories.

food inc is def worth a look though

Glasnost - 9/11 was a terrorist act, or do you believe that the hole in the Pentagon was a cruise missile like those nut jobs on TV the other day? As my dh pointed out, they'd obviously never seen the entry point a cruise missile makes......
