Hi. I am teaching a y5/6 class about pilgrimage and wanted to tell them about Montserrat in Spain, as it is a site I have visited.
I have been collecting pictures off google and flickr etc to make a powerpoint. The trouble is I can't find any images of the room full of little babies' shoes, crushed motorbike helmets, degree certifacates etc where people come to give thanks or ask the Virgin for a favour.
I can't even remember what it is called to help me google. Has anyone got any ideas?
I went there myself and left one of dd's shoes only last Easter.

Is this the place?

www.sacred-destinations.com/spain/montserrat-shrine.htm

Lots of pics here if so, not sure if any of them are the ones you want...

I googled Montserrat pilgrimage

I did some googling too, Mary, and got some images but not all I needed. However, while looking at your message, I suddenly remembered the word I was looking for - 'votive' offerings. I could then google it and get my image. Rather boring picture and then DH pointed out that I could use our photos! [very stupid emoticon] Thanks for taking the time to help.
