One day about 7.5 years ago in September, I just could not get warm, I was literally chilled to the bone and sat literally on top of my gas fire with full heat pouring out but whilst I felt the heat on my skin, it didnt warm me. I was like that for hours. Then later in the evening my sister found our mum collapsed still in her nightie on her bedroom floor with blood all over it - she'd had a brain haemhorrage (sp?) and was in a deep coma which she stayed in for another 4 days until she woke then a week later had another bh and died

when I was having a bit of a difficult pg i started talking to my deceased grandad asking him to watch over me and the bump. That night I was woken by the strongest smell of my grandads tobacco. I immediatley thought I was sleepinmg/dreaming but made myself wake up so I know I wasn't. It lasted about 30 seconds but I kept my eyes closed - didn't dare look up!

awww helsi blees u ... I always speak to my nana who passed over when I was 13 and often smell the smell her house used to smell of (tounge twister there) lol

The most strangest thing ever happened to me when I had the most awful argument with my Exh (still together at the time) I have never ever been so angry in my life as I was that night. anyway I was sat down stairs at around 11pm seeething whilst he was out of it drunk in bed, I had this stereo player on a corner unit which was put in the corner for decorational reasons and no where near a plug socket as we never used it anyways. all of a sudden blue flashing elctrical sparks started flying off it and the light came on and off in the living room scuce my french but I totally s8it myself that I legged it up stairs and it was the one thing that got me talking to my Ex again I made him come and check it out

It was absolultly terrifying like all the anger I felt made it happen tottally unexplainable will never get that angry again.

I can do another light hearted one. I went back to my room after an evening in the college bar when I was a student and put on some of my favourite music and lit some candles. I can't remember what track it was, but there was a line about all the lights going out, and the candles both fizzled out on exactly that line. Really spooky!

megandsoph - you just reminded me of another. I was with my friend who was a student nurse at the time in her lounge (everyone else was out). It wasnt long after my dad died (couple of months) and that day at work my friend was telling me about an incident her boyfriend's sister experienced when, before her dad's funeral she called out for him and the light in the corner of the room started flashing on and off, but apparently too wasnt connected to the mains supply. Anyway I was relaying this spooky story to jane and got to the part where the sister said "if you're there dad, then please show me" then the standard lamp in her lounge started flickering and hissing for about 30 seconds(like if you half switch a light on/off) - we both looked at each other completely gobsmacked. I had to wait for her boyfriend to come over and then had to drive home very very quickly (checking my back seat all the while) She has since told me that the bulb didnt need changing for several months after that incident and it never happened again.

jampots I think something to do with electrical appliances and their energy help spirits come through hmmm not sure but it's like apparently spirits can effcet time peices too.

The time with the stereo was something like out of the carrie movie lol... wish my Exh had seen it. I also thought it could be his died telling us to sort it out as his dad had only recencly dies prior to this occurance.

my telly often turns over channel too and bk again this maybe just a dodgy tv mind

ooh megandsoph - sounds very very scary - I would have pooped my pants for sure.

Actually you've reminded me of anothe thing too (think my house is haunted actually) a few years ago I was sat on my own in the lounge and the tv was on - all of a sudden the tv switched itself onto standby (video etc unaffected) now of course the only way to switch the tv onto standby is via the remote control which I assumed I was sitting on (big squashy bum). Turned out I wasnt and it was on the fireside but then the room went really cold so i thought I was imagining it until my ssiter and commented on how freezing my lounge was - it stayedlike that for about 20 mins then suddenly warmed back up again

another weird thing happened when I was 18 in the army I had just been diognosed with clinical depression and had not many friends as the peeps I thought were my pals didn't want to know... apart from one lass tara who was getting kicked out of the army for mdical reasons, it really didn't help the fact she was leaving.
Anyways one day after living in the area for a few years my friend and I walked through totton the small town near where we were I had walked and drove down the same road a thousand times and never noticed this small spiritual shop. we went in a for some strange reading got talking with the shop keeper and actually ended up having a coffee and became firm friends. it was weird as tara left a week later but I no longer had to worry about being alone and roy the shop owner taught me about crystals and tarot and all sorts of fantastic things and it totally helped me get out of my depression with out Ad's

oops Snugs warned me about losing control on my threads and I've just done it again but it's coz i'm a Libra hehehehehehehe love talking

No, he looked really real. I lost my way in a historical site where all the employees were dressed in period clothing, so I thought he was an employee - he looked that real. I asked him the way out and he turned on his heel and started walking, so I followed him. I used to be quite fit, but I found it hard to keep up w/him. He turned a corner in front of me, and when I caught up to him, he wasn't there. There was a door at the end of a long corridor, so I thought he'd gone in there and it was private. Anyhow, I could see the way out from there so I went to wait for my mum at the gates. I was there smoking a fag when the gatekeeper asked me how my visit had gone. I told him it'd been lovely, and about the strange employee. He asked me to describe him fully. Then he lit a ciggy and told me that man was a ghost. I thought, 'Aye, right. He's just putting on for the tourists. LOL.' Then I saw the ghost featured on one of those hauntings shows and near kacked myself!

yes, when my dad died on the way back from his funeral I was in the car and suddenly smellt incense, like the stuff that was used in the church, it was dark, there were no fires and when I opened the car door there was no smell.....walking out of my bedroom door I heard the words "Steph, Steph, Steph" which I did not imagine and I loked around and was a little freaked by it...I have never heard it since......and finally I had a picture of my dad with his sisters as a young man and put it somewhere, when I returned home it was on the piano bit where the music goes, I DEFINETELY did not put it there.....that is spooky to me and evidence that he is about...he was a physic person anyway....jampots...sorry to hear of your incident spooky too

Here you go then, my contribution (also posted before).

Years ago, my dad was digging up the back garden to turn into a vegetable patch. He called to mum and showed her an old gents walking umbrella (just the wire frame left) that he had dug up.

10 minutes later my sister (then about 12) rushes in from the front room, rambling about a man walking through the wall. Mum just laughs, until sis says "And why would he have a brolly, its sunny today?". Sis couldn't see the garden and knew nothing of dads find.

2 years later, dad removed the internal wall and discovered a bricked-up doorway - just where sis saw the man walk through.
