Well... that's quite a big question... Could you give a little more info on what you do (and don't) believe in? For instance, God? Some other force like fate?

My first thought is to suggest going to an Alpha Course or something similar in church, but if your beliefs don't head in that direction then it might not help you!

Well, if you believe in God (even in quite a general way) then something Christian like an Alpha course would probably help you to clarify that and think about whether you could be happy in the Christian faith. Even if you totally disagreed with everything they said, it would probably make you clearer about why you disagreed with them! (I'll admit here, I am a Christian so I'm probably biased in suggesting this as an option).

You could also try looking somewhere like Wikipedia at the summaries of what different faiths believe - that might give you an idea whether you could even imagine being convinced by them, although it's very difficult to put down in writing what seems right to you about your faith.

try beliefnet, they do a "fun" question and answer thing, where they show you, the religions best suited to the answers you provided.

Great as a fun thing, but they do have loads of info n what different religions believe.

I would second an Alpha Course. However, these tend to run in either the Autumn term or Winter term.

In the meantime, you may want to investigate your local churches for special services (ie guest services) or events.

If you have a toddler, there may be churches that run toddler services - and these are always very welcoming to unchurched families, and don't expect any prior knowledge.

I really liked the BeliefNet Belief-O-Matic - I haven't seen that before. It got me pegged 100% match as a Liberal Christian Protestant, so I can cheerfully say it's very accurate .
