Baptism gift for a god daughter

My very first god daughter is getting baptised in a couple of weeks and I'd like to get something special. I've always bought books of prayers and stories with a Christian message for birthdays and baptisms in the past but would like to get something definitely Christian but a bit special. Any ideas??

She's almost 18 months. And an Evangelical/Charsimatic background. Bible is a nice idea but wanted something original.

Would you consider writing something yourself? I wrote my godson a poem and everyone thought it was very special and original. You can write from the heart and it can have your own Christian message, a special message from you to your god daughter.

You could get a charm bracelet with a first charm of a cross on it - it was what we got our god daughter and the intention is to add charms on important occasions - we have so far added 1 when her little sister was born and then we have just given her one for starting school.

Maybe not christian enough (?) but, I like the idea of her looking back on it when all grown up and remembering past important events.

Not a christian present but dd's godmother started a 'travelling' fund for her and adds to it for christmas and birthdays. A great idea although not sure I like the idea of my PFB travelling.....

I have four nieces and for each of their Christenings I've bought them a silver cross on a chain (with a small stone in).

Not to be worn immediately obviously but very pretty.

I'm a raving heathen agnostic btw who refuses to christen her two Dss. Didn't stop me being asked to be a Godmother though! .
