Just that really, do you believe, have you ever experienced anything.
I'll start with mine, didn't actually happen to me but to my son.
My father died several years ago, he had been ill and house bound for the last few years of his life.
At the time my son who had a very special relationship with his grandfather was traveling, and was in Argentina.
At around the time my father died my son said he woke with the feeling he wasn't alone. At the end of his bed (he was living with an Argentinean family) there was a bright light that hovered. He said he felt very warm and safe, and at that moment said he knew his grandfather had died.
The only time I've experienced anything was when I was pregnant with my son. We lived in a flat at the time. It happened during the day when I was alone. We had a large walk in cupboard, more like a small room which we used as a wardrobe. My husband plays guitar which was stored in this room.
I was in the bathroom (next to said room) when I clearly heard the guitar strumming different notes. Remember feeling very uneasy, but turned on light and looked in room. The guitar was propped against the wall in its sealed case. This happened years ago, can't think of any reason why, but I didn't imagine and it really shook me up at the time.

Oh I believe. I didn't at first until I experienced something myself.

Husband and I moved into our first home, he'd gone the pub with his best mate like usual and i was in bed just watching television when I heard a bang downstairs, I presumed it was Hubby coming in from his night out so thought nothing of it. I heard stomping all downstairs (thought blimey hes drunk) then heard the footsteps which sounded like big heavy boots walking up the stairs. very odd as hubby doesn't wear boots. then they stopped as looked at the gap at the bottom of my bedroom door a saw 2 boot like shadows which freaked me out a little. i closed my eyes and opened them shortly after and they where gone, I called my hubby and said stop messing around downstairs and come to bed as I was a little concerned at this point. To which he responded hes still at the pub, He told me to barricade the door and hide in the wardrobe and not get out until he tells me too, as the pub was a 5 min walk away and he was sprinting back to me now with his mate as they thought the worse. next think i know hubbys opened the wardrobe and got me out, he checked the entire house no break in, every door and window locked. but when he ran upstairs to me he heard a horrible deep laugh by the bedroom door. which explains why he was a shade of white i've never seen on his face before.

safe to say we moved not long after that, we heard this deep laugh a lot, had doors slam unexpectedly and even witnesses plates and glasses moving and smashing.

Oooh. I love hearing people's ghost experiences. I had an experience as a child, around 11. I was at my Gran's sitting on the sofa being cheeky to my mum who was sitting next to me and generally being a brat when the living room door opens and I feel someone stood behind the sofa ( my mum and Gran sense this too and we all become quiet) suddenly my head is pulled back like someone or something is tugging my hair. My mum jumps up to help but her legs have been lifted into the air by this point and she can't move. Then all of a sudden it stops. We ran out of the house leaving my Gran sitting in her chair. We didn't dare go back to see why she hadn't followed. Later, speaking to her on the phone she explained it was just her Father visiting, as he often did and explained he always would tug the back of her and her sisters' hair if they were being cheeky or naughty.( Not usually so hard)!! She couldn't explain my mum's legs being lifted but said he called in often all the same, and they'd sit and chat about life and the family.

I grew up in a very old house, and there were lots of strange things happened there. One day, the piano tuner arrived and said he'd just been having a conversation with our gardener. We didn't have a gardener... And there was no one in the garden.

There was allegedly a grey lady on the landing (I didn't see her) and there were often strange noises (tbf those were probably just an old house settling). I did once see my grandmother on the landing, which was odd, as she'd been dead for several years at the time Confused

My dad regularly saw a spaniel in the garden (no near neighbours, not ours) that he claimed appeared and disappeared apparently at whim. Odd, actually, as he's the least woo man ever, and not given to fancy at all.

Oh, and when I was a child, we were staying with friends who were National Trust tenants. I was determined to sleep in the room with the four poster but in the morning, I told everyone that I hadn't been able to sleep because of "the lady" who kept disturbing me.

The friends nearly fell off their chairs: the room I was sleeping in was reputed to be haunted by Lady Jane Grey...

Our family and theirs tell this story frequently - I don't actually remember it, so am unable to report on the lady, I fear!

I was always on my best behavior whenever I visited after that and I would refuse to go upstairs alone to the toilet. My Gran was very into spiritualism I found out later. I wonder what she had to say to him about what he had done that day. I never found out!

Love the idea of growing up in an old house with ghost a gardener and grey lady but in reality I think I'd have run away. Is it something you just seem to get used to as a child? or are you hyper aware of it?

This is at a bit of a tangent. I've never actually seen a ghost but once I dreamed about Mum and woke up feeling very uneasy. I can't recall the dream at all. That must have been the Sunday night, Mum was taken to hospital on Monday and passed away on Wednesday.
A psychic told me that we all have powers at the level we can deal with and that my level was the dream world. Thankfully I very rarely dream.

We lived in a fab old house, had lots of things happening there. It was three floors, street door opened onto open-plan middle floor with kitchen and living/dining room, upstairs was bedrooms and bathroom, and basement was bright and airy open-plan with windows, with a big laundry room and a massive storage room.

There was a horrible creepy feeling in the living room, in one corner. Also in the basement in one spot in the middle. A friend figured out that the two spots were actually in the same place in the house (weird floorplan!)

Lots of people saw something going up the stairs, including my dad who we hadn't mentioned anything to - we were sitting having a cuppa one day and he jumped up and said "Someone just went up your stairs!", and a friend who was over one evening and suddenly went white as a sheet as a figure appeared in the doorway.

I got home one afternoon and went upstairs with a cuppa, and halfway up a black shape shot up from in front of me and went up and around the bend to the bedrooms. I assumed it was our cat, strolled into the bedroom and there was our cat just waking up on the bed, all sleepy eyed and yawning. No other animals in the house (I did check!)

One night me and DH were in bed but not asleep yet and there was a 'slide-THUMP" from downstairs (cat was with us). Sounded like a book or something sliding and falling to the floor. Then it happened again. I got up, checked the middle floor, went to go down the basement and the light popped and went out. I grabbed a torch and started down the basement steps when I realised that's just how horror films start so I hightailed it back to bed. DH was asleep HmmGrin. Never found out what it was.

We had a frequent noise of a ping-pong ball bouncing in the basement. You know that PING....PING.... ping..ping.pingpingping noise. We never found the source (it definitely wasn't DD's toys and we didn't own pingpong balls!)

The weirdest was late one night, I was up alone watching telly and suddenly a curl of smoke appeared right in front of me. It was close enough that I had to lean back to focus on it, it was about six inches in front of my face. I had a WTF?? moment while I stared at it, then it vanished. Didn't fade out, just vanished.

Loved that house Smile

Yeh, think we do have some kind of connectedness to loved ones. I believe I knew the minute my Gran died. I was out in local d.i.y store and remember I had to sit down on some sandbags. I felt all strange and had a sense of dread/doom. 20 mins later I got the call she had passed.( She was in hospital but was expected to be coming home). I've never had this feeling when others I have been close to passed though.

Love these stories, some sound scary enough to make you not want to go back to where you witnessed things.
I mentioned this thread to my husband earlier, and he reminded me of another indecent.
He bought me a silver bangle for our 25th anniversary. It was solid so heavy, with a gap at the back to get it on and off.
I'd had it a couple of years when one day it fell off. On examination it had buckled and was very warm.
My husband took it back to the jewellers and they repaired it, but within days the same happened again, this time while we had friends visiting.
It's been in my jewellery box ever since!

Yes. I mean I always believed in the possibility I guess, but never thought I would see something myself. What I saw was never human though. Like u just...knew. A very dark thing indeed, could feel the rage and hatred coming off it. But I look back in it as a good exp because I think if there are things that dark in this world then there are probably things that are totally the opposite too :)

I haven't seen, just felt however an old friend says she saw a black mass type thing years ago in her halls of residence at University. She described it a jet black 'mass' that raced towards her in her room then disappeared. A lad she knew in the next hall moved back home shortly after seeing what he described as a 'demon' in the grounds early one morning that raced towards him!! Weird.( She said this lad wasn't a drinker or the type of lad to make something up).

I tell this story frequently at parties etc. It was June of 2016. My mom had gone down the pub with some of her friends. I was babysitting at the time it was night time. Suddenly I felt scared.
Our house is old. I definitely believe in the supernatural stuff that can’t be explained by science at all. It was creepy. I was watching a TV show on Netflix. My youngest sister was on the bed sleeping.
She was 3 years old when it happened. There was a mysterious blue light on in the front. I’ve never seen it since. I also was about 4 months pregnant with the twins.

I've never seen a ghost, but have had a few odd things happen. I lost my Mum when I was 21, and my Dad died when I was pg with DS1. Several times I've felt like they were watching over me. I'm sure they saved DS1's life - he had a sever anaphylactic reaction when he was 14 months old. I'd never seen anything like it, but randomly I'd been watching daytime TV that day and a programme about the air ambulance came on. They were tasked to a little boy who was having a severe anaphylactic reaction. Because I'd seen that programme about an hour before it happened to my son I knew what was happening and how serious it was, so I threw him in the car and drove to the med centre (we were on a military base at the time). I'm sure my Mum sent me that programme.

When my Mum died I was in the room with her, and I suddenly felt my Gran's presence at the end of her bed just as she passed.

My DS1, when he was a toddler, said a couple of things about my Dad:
In the car once as we were driving away from the house he waved and shouted 'bye bye Mummy's Daddy'. Once when I was reading him a story in bed he said 'when you were a little girl and I was your Daddy, I used to read to you like this'.

It didn't freak me out, I liked it as it feels like they are still looking after me.

My friend is currently selling a haunted house, lots goes on in it. Apparently it’s in lay lines (not sure on spelling) so will always be active.

What kind of stuff? Have you called a paranormal investigator to see what is going on or not? Seriously I love this kind of stuff.

He was very lucky. How amazing it must be feeling they are there watching over you and your family and how comforting to know your Gran was there for your Mum. As for your little boy talking about being your Dad, I don't know how I would feel tbh. I think I would be frightened, for all I love my Dad but that's just me. Be interesting to see as they grow if they mention any more things. Many say children are born with these abilities but they loose ability as they grow.

I was ridiculously ill just before my mum died, I woke up on the Wednesday morning and was hungry and could eat for the first time in days without throwing up. She had passed away that morning not that I would be told for another 4 days

I also “felt” my brother pushing me back when I was hit by a car. I felt like I was cuddled up to him asleep but he was pushing me away from hi telling me it wasn’t my time- I was unconscious in the road for some time- both police and ambulance were present when I came round. I’ve also felt him at different times. A squeeze every now and then but no ones been around.

I don’t believe in god but I do think those who have gone before watch over us
